I was looking for something not too small, not too wide, and not too tall because of the potential tip hazard. It fits well in my smaller space and good for a smaller television. Unlike several others, I had no damages to any piece other than a small lift in the veneer on the right top corner. At least a pen is provided for filling scratches. The backing also had a strip of tape across it but that doesn't matter since it is sitting against the wall. Yep, the Styrofoam was a hassle. It breaks up easily and static, gets all over everything, might cause damage if working near electronics. Otherwise, this was one of the better pieces to put together overall. Thank goodness there were pre-drilled holes for the backing, screws instead of nails, and they all lined up. That was the biggest relief for me. Assembly (although it took a while) was much easier than expected. I did not need a cordless drill, just a cross-point screwdriver and a large enough area to work in. Glad I bought it. ... show more

Material quality was pretty low. The particle board was not very dense and didn’t have the solid feel that some more expensive self-assembly units might have. The fake wood veneer was also just ok. But it assembled easy enough and looks ok now. I’d say it’s still a good value for the price.

The color is beautiful. BUT, quality is not that great. Very very disappointed in this product. It seems as if the top of it came very scratched AND it doesn’t even look like the wood work is done great. It is heavy duty, but for the price, I’d rather have my money back. Don’t recommend.
