The Rockville RVS12A 12" Slim Vented Powered Car Subwoofer Enclosure is engineered for car audio enthusiasts who want powerful bass without taking up excessive space.     • Buyers Beware! Steer Clear. Zero Stars. Sub defective after 3 days.
The sub was installed and after 3 days it sounds like the cone is separating and rattling so bad that it just sounds terrible. After 3 days of back and forth they want me to foot the bill to send the sub back in for repairs. Shipping is not cheap. I now have buyers remorse. Buyers beware, go with another company, spend $30 to $50 dollars and steer clear of Rockville. See the actual response I received. Hi Jared, Thank you for contacting Audiosavings technical support. I'm sorry to hear the Rockville RVS12A we sent has a rattle in the center of the woofer. "Blown" refers to when an amplifier blows up a speaker, it usually catches on fire briefly, and smokes, when that happens. This sounds like a different malfunction. Our apologies for the issue! We have a warranty which allows you to send it in for repair. You would buy shipping from your carrier of choice to get it to us and from there we cover parts, labor, and the return shipping. If we can't repair it, we'll replace it. Would you like me to set this up? I’ll get started on the RMA (which is a return order so that our warehouse team can expect your shipment) Our apologies for this issue. Quality Power is sufficient enough if you don’t want something too strong. I have a Chevy traverse, I just needed a bit of bass and this added the perfect amount. Speaker would hit in a smaller car. I wanted a slimmer box due to needing trunk space and this fit perfectly. Value of speaker was worth it. ... show more

Ok, we have bought two of these over the last few years. Both speakers blew within a week. The box itself, amplifier, and design isn't bad. So basically your paying for the box snd amplifier. Then do yourself s favor and buy another 12" low profile speaker and enjoy. Good design, good bass, with Rockville hardware and 3rd party speaker. We chose a pioneer lo profile 1500 watt sub snd boy oh boy. Worth it! ... show more
