The RVS12A is in our opinion the best slim powered car subwoofer on the market. This sub is a vented and more powerful version of our famous RWS12CA. The performance is better than systems that cost double or triple the price! There are a few things we did that make this have such clean and tight bass that you will feel in your chest.. . We made the enclosure vented and slightly bigger.. We updated the woofer to make it optimized for the tuning frequency of the vent.. We upgraded the built in amplifier and added more power.. We built in a fixed subsonic filter that filters out unwanted frequencies below 30 Hz.. Super slim. The super slim design barely takes up any space in your trunk. Our engineers matched a slim subwoofer with a vented enclosure and an amplifier tuned to perform optimally for this system.. . Huge sound!. This model is like our RWS12CA but significantly louder! It is vented and the amplifier produces more power. You will love the performance guaranteed!. . RCA inputs and high-level inputs. Use the RCA inputs if your receiver has RCA outputs available. Use the high-level inputs if you have no RCA outputs available like if you have a stock radio. Either way installation is quick and easy with this all in one solution. The Power, signal and remote turn-on terminals are angled which enables quick connecting or disconnecting.. . Remote bass knob included. The remote bass knob can be mounted by your dash and allows you to raise or lower the sub volume from your dash.. . Adjustable low-pass crossover. The adjustable crossover allows you to filter out the frequencies you do not want your subwoofer to play. For example, if you know your full range speakers are set to roll off at 80Hz you can set the crossover on the sub to filter out anything above 80Hz

It was a little bigger than I expected even after looking at the dimensions before buying it. Totally worth it tho and not bad for the performance. It THUMPS and is super clear. Hooking up was easy as I was upgrading from a Dual Powered 10" sub in my truck. Had to take up the passenger back seat in my 01 Ram 1500, but it doesn't get used anyhow. The clarity, depth, and loudness is AMAZING!!!!! Would totally recommend getting this system for any vehicle. It won't win any competitions, but if you want to add alot of bass and are on a budget, this is the system for you!!!!!! ... show more

    • Buyers Beware! Steer Clear. Zero Stars. Sub defective after 3 days.
The sub was installed and after 3 days it sounds like the cone is separating and rattling so bad that it just sounds terrible. After 3 days of back and forth they want me to foot the bill to send the sub back in for repairs. Shipping is not cheap. I now have buyers remorse. Buyers beware, go with another company, spend $30 to $50 dollars and steer clear of Rockville. See the actual response I received. Hi Jared, Thank you for contacting Audiosavings technical support. I'm sorry to hear the Rockville RVS12A we sent has a rattle in the center of the woofer. "Blown" refers to when an amplifier blows up a speaker, it usually catches on fire briefly, and smokes, when that happens. This sounds like a different malfunction. Our apologies for the issue! We have a warranty which allows you to send it in for repair. You would buy shipping from your carrier of choice to get it to us and from there we cover parts, labor, and the return shipping. If we can't repair it, we'll replace it. Would you like me to set this up?     • Very solid sub for the size and the price, add polyfill if you can.
I put this lil number in the trunk of my sedan and it doesn't take up the entire trunk which is really nice. I have it facing away from the driver seat. I mainly listen to metal so if you do too keep reading. It's plenty loud and that's good and all but It sounded kind a little blurry I couldn't really hear the separation between the kick notes which is not ideal **BUT** I was able to take the speaker cone off and put in about .75 lbs of polyfill and that made a MASSIVE difference in the clarity of the bass and I highly recommend you do the same. It was a pretty easy and cheap improvement to this sub making it so much nicer! ... show more

I purchased this sub because the reviews were saying good things and that the bass was pretty good. It blew my expectations out of the water, now it’s not something that will win you a bass competition but it adds a really good amount of bass.instructions were clear and simple, it does not come with RCA cables just a FYI. Fits barely but nicely in my 05 gmc crew cab. You will have to do some cutting and work for it to fit in there nicely. Otherwise great product, very happy with it! ... show more

This sub is not ground breaking by any means. Previously had a $200 ebay unit and wanted something a little smaller without sacrificing sound and that previous unit blows this out the water. Checked wires over multiple times and the sound is still ok. I have the unit installed in a Hyundai Sonata and its presence is there but not ear piercing. I typically listen to Hip Hop which this unit is ok for but don’t expect anything crazy. ... show more
