And which ones are unsuitable? We recommend small-granule clumping litter: cassava litter performs best (per our testing), with clay/corn and other small-granule clumping options also suitable. Avoid tofu litter longer than 0.47", and crystal litter with larger particles. What should I do if my cat refuses to use the new litter box? We recommend placing the old litter box next to the new one and adding some of the cat's used litter to the new box. Start by manually scooping the litter at first.
