Compared to normal portable heaters, this heater puts out a LOT of heat, which is good. I did do a little work with the heater. NO, I didn't actually modify the heater ( Do NOT DO). What I did was mount the heater on a small furniture dolly on two 4x4 x 24 stanchions. This makes the heater very portable. And to improve the heat distribution I mounted a small fan on the furniture dolly, under the heater, with the fan blowing over the heater. The heater generates a LOT of heat but with the fan I would guess that I've more than double the normal heating capability of the heater. ... show more

It is decent if you are sitting close to it. If you are using it for a closed-off room, it will be perfect. I used it for my garage, and it did not produce enough heat. I will defiantly have to purchase another one to heat u the entire garage.

The first one I received seemed like a used return. Screws were missing and cord was scraped up. Replacement has been good. Decent heat output. Warms up the area around my workbenches in the garage pretty well. Remote works great, and is a helpful feature. Same with the timer function. I'm happy with it so far. ... show more

    • gr8 heater would haqve been 5 star if i didnt have such a big area to heat

After finally getting a second one because the first one never arrived it came with the cord with a slice in it and it looked like it had paint on the cord. I believe I have received a used one not quite sure?
