Got this Robovac for a few days so I’d share my experiences with it. First thing first, they aren’t kidding about the “daily cleaning routine” for the internal dust box and filter. You gotta keep up with the cleaning or the effectiveness goes way down. On the second day I got the unit, I noticed it wasn’t picking up anything, so I opened the dust bin to check. Lo and behold, the filter was clogged, so I ran it under the faucet for a good minute or so to flush out the debris. Once that’s done, it was working well again. The unit is very quiet, much quieter than my old Roomba 780. I know that model is old, but it still got the job done. This thing is leaps and bounds better than the old Roomba, I’m surprised. The Tuya app is mostly fine. It does what it supposed to do - acts like a remote control and it can schedule the cleaning run. Very basic stuff but it works. Last but not least, the mop really does something, but it is a consumable that needs to be replaced in the future because I can’t get it all clean. If you look at the picture you can see the mop got dirty (which means the floor got cleaned), but after washing it by hand with some dish soap for couple of minutes, that is how well I can get it cleaned up (not very well). I order a lot of things from Amazon and once in awhile do write a review. But this gift to myself is so incredible that I HAD to do it so that maybe someone else would receive as much help from it as I have. I am going to start out by saying the embarrassing reason that I purchased it. My mostly indoor chocolate lab dog acquired mites from having a tenant with a dog that I was unaware of who had these mites, living on my property, in seperate housing, but sharing the yard with my dog. It has been over 3 years and hard to believe as it is, I have tried everything in trying to get rid of them! I am an RN with a holistic twist and didn't want to cause any toxicity, but literally have spent about 2 hours daily, cleaning he and I, our bedding, floors and all else with only what turned out to be promising results that didn't solve the problem. It has been an unbelievable nightmare! My house was originally built in 1960 and added on to, remodeled, etc., but still has the original longleaf pine floors that have small gaps between the wood planks, as well as saltillo tile in another area. I thought I was cleaning the floors well, using a wet/dry vac to get in the crevices. I couldn't have been more surprised at the amount of dust/mite eggs, larvae, etc. that came up inside the dust container the first time I used it!! And continues to do so. I've had it now about 2 weeks and wouldn't trade anything for it! I think we are fully and FINALLY on the way to conquering these very intrusive tiny mites! The depth and thoroughness in which this great machine sucks out and captures even the dust is truly impressive!! That being said, I gave it 5 stars, which is what it deserves, but there are a couple of drawbacks I have to share to be fully honest. First, the digital aspect of downloading the program was time consuming. Second, I've only tried the mop feature once, but though I could see the trail of water, it didn't clean very deep, will try again. It has a little squeak now, only slightly annoying, but posted a question of how to fix it. Otherwise, it is about perfect with the length of time it cleans, it being so very thorough, very little action needed from me, including the cleaning being easy.. I use my wet and dry vac to clean the dust container after I dump the debris into a zip lock bag. However, one thing to watch out for.. don't suck up the little clear panel that covers the input opening. They should also include a replacement one as I've sucked mine up twice now, having to take off the tube of my wet/dry vac to retrieve it. Now I hold it down as I suck out what dust remains after it is emptied from the dust container. It's fun watching it go back to the charging station on its own when it needs to! :-) I looked at other brands and especially for the money, I have to say that it has to be the best! ... show more
