⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We hesitated for over a year due to the cost and uncertainty about performance, considering many different different brands. After hearing an amazing recommendation from someone my wife knows, we finally decided on Roborock—and we're so glad we did! The setup was straightforward, and the automatic mapping and floor plan development were relatively seamless. I still need to fine-tune a few room setups and barriers, but the process has been good so far. We have an upstairs, so I was able to carry the robot upstairs and drop it off. It was mapped and cleaned without coming down the stairs. The cliff edge detector works well! The suction power is impressive, and the little side arms do a fantastic job reaching baseboards and corners. It easily fits under furniture, beds, and other hard-to-reach areas, which makes a huge difference in managing dust accumulation in those hard-to-reach spots. It's quiet, considering what it is doing (far less noise than a traditional vacuum). The quality feels solid, and so far, it's durable. We agree with those who called this life-changing—Roborock has earned a customer for life, no doubt.

I'll just say it right at the gate this was certainly more money than I had planned to spend on a product like this however depending on your wants and needs, I would say this is certainly worth the money spent. This thing vacuums and mops as well as empties and cleans. What my wife used to do daily is now handled by it and we do a deep clean once every week or two depending on schedules.. it's fairly large, so be prepared to have a place to set it up and there's a bit of set up involved in terms of adding water putting in all the pieces together and then obviously syncing it to your phone and Wi-Fi. But once you get the thing set up, it's pretty awesome. I've had very little issues with it getting stuck or knowing where to go and the quality of the work which I have had other model struggle with has been fantastic. We have a dog and two kids were in and out of the house a lot and this thing vacuums almost as good as an upright if not as good follow that up with the mopping option, which is absolutely fantastic and our house is always clean and ready. There's also neat little features that I probably don't take as much advantage of, but I think some people would appreciate you can call it to a particular room that you're in to clean up a mess you can drive it yourself from your smart phone, there's little quality of life things that it handles really well. Me personally I found a profile that worked best for us and just kind of said it and forget it and that's the way that I like it. Again it navigate really well. We tried to do our best to kind of set up the room so it can be efficient but if we leave the house and forgot it still does a wonderful job of navigating around and getting all the dirty spots great suction, and even the mop which I know can be lacking in some models is great.

This is the Bomb!! Wonderful. Purposed this to help with our 3300 sqft house after my wife broke her shoulder. Dock works seamlessly. Recommended to a widower friend, who’s house was showing the lack of his passed wife’s touch. He bought the unit w/out the dock. His adult children are elated! Two other neighbors use these. Very good in vacuuming. Mopping removes much dirt, as evident by dirty water tank. Dried spots still need a hand touch. Cleans corners well. Takes 2 battery charges to do entire house. Transitions were from tile to carpet. It doesn’t hit or bump things hard. Actually, barely touches walls and furniture. It’s now 8 months old. Same cost as 3 months cleaning service.

I almost never write reviews, but my experience with the Roborock S8 Max has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to. This was meant to be a helpful, high-end tool to save me time and effort. Instead, it’s become a constant source of irritation. Obstacle handling: Despite the marketing claims about obstacle avoidance, the S8 Max gets jammed constantly. Socks, cables, small items – I can forgive those to an extent – but it also struggles with chair bases, corners, and spaces where it clearly has enough room to maneuver. The obstacle detection simply isn’t good enough for a lived-in home. Hair and debris clogging: I have cats and carpet, which means hair and fibers. The vacuum clogs above the rollers so frequently that I end up cleaning it out more often than it cleans my floors. The “mouth” of the vacuum is often obstructed, making me question whether it’s picking up anything at all, and certainly if it’s offloading anything at all into the dock. (Photos attached - this is after two successful runs) Navigation and mapping: I took the time to do a very thorough mapping – adding zones, no-go areas, and marking furniture – yet the robot still regularly gets lost, stuck, or confused. It almost never completes a cleaning cycle without my intervention. Most runs end with me having to pick it up and return it to the dock manually. Battery life and reliability: Because it gets stuck so often, the battery drains before it can finish even modest cleaning jobs. This wouldn’t be as frustrating if it was easy for the robot to resume, but too often it fails to find its way back to base on its own. Who is this for? Honestly, I can only imagine this working in a minimalist, obstacle-free apartment with smooth floors and no pets. In a real home – even one that’s kept fairly clear – it requires too much babysitting to be worth it. For the price, I expected something far more capable and reliable. Instead, this has been one of the worst purchases I’ve made in recent years. I cannot recommend it, especially if you have pets, carpet, or any sort of varied furniture layout.
