    • Self sufficient and actually useful
I've been using this vacuum on an automatic schedule that runs every morning for a month now, since I have a lot of pets to keep up with. My previous robot vacuum was an entry level Roomba, so quite the price difference, but I decided to go top of the line because the Roomba would take inefficient paths, do a half-assed job, get stuck regularly, and require manual cleaning every 2-3 cycles, making it more time and effort than just vacuuming myself. This vacuum looks similar but is the polar opposite. It mapped out my house and has an efficient path that takes a consistent amount of time, has only gotten stuck once, and hasn't required anything from my end beyond changing the water tanks every 2 days. The vacuuming isn't quite as thorough as if I did it with a standing vacuum, but the mopping and ability to run it daily actually leaves my floors cleaner than biweekly manual vacuuming from those 45 seconds of filling and pouring out water tanks. On cons, there's truly not much to say. The biggest issue I had was that it would give a "clean filter" error when I first got it, that turned out to be caused by the mop pad needing to be reseated. Hopefully they can update the error code to include that as a troubleshooting step in the app through a software update since I had to find that on a forum. Seems like the pad shifted out of position during shipping. Ultimately, whether this is worth it for you is going to come down to how hard the $1k price tag hits you. It's absolutely a time saver, and is fantastic if you want daily cleaning to keep up with pets, kids, or messy adults. Perhaps even for some it may even save you money if it allows you to reduce the frequency of a maid service. But if you're going for a robotic vacuum, I'd recommend avoiding the cheap models and going for something like this since the cheaper ones are a waste of money while these premium models actually save you time and energy. ... show more

My wife made me buy one of these because some of her California friends had one. I was doubtful because I had a previous robot vacuum and it didn't really perform, but this one from Roborock did. Seems to be a really quality build and we haven't had any significant issues from it. Suction is good and it self cleans. Sometimes it does leave streaks on marble with the mop option, but that's probably my fault for not really cleaning it. ... show more

    • Disappointed: Roborock Ignores Malfunction, Refuses Real Support
I purchased a Roborock robot vacuum expecting a premium product for the $1,000+ price tag. For nearly two years, it worked fine on both hardwood and carpet. Then it suddenly started stopping every 2–3 minutes with an error code. I have cleaned every part, followed all troubleshooting steps, and even sent it in for repair (paying over $150), yet it came back with the exact same issue — if not worse. When I contacted Roborock, instead of acknowledging that something was wrong, they blamed my home environment because my house is mostly carpet. This makes no sense — the robot worked on carpet for almost two years with no issues. It is obviously not because of my carpet, but because of a malfunction in the machine. If their products truly cannot perform in carpet-heavy homes, that should be clearly disclosed on their website. Instead, they advertise “Automatic Carpet Boost” and market the vacuums as multi-surface machines. Roborock offered me a refund of the repair fee, but also told me they cannot help with a future repair or replacement because of my carpeted home. Their response ignored most of my questions and gave me the impression they were more eager to close the case than to help a paying customer. I feel misled, disrespected, and extremely disappointed with their customer service. For a company making huge profits, they should stand behind their products and their customers — not push malfunctioning machines back onto them. Bottom line: My expensive robot is essentially unusable, and Roborock has refused to provide a real solution. I cannot recommend this company or their products. ... show more

    • An amazing thing to have
The media could not be loaded. This is the best purchase for our home. It saves a lot of time. Vacuums and mops floor perfectly , not missing a spot. It avoids obstacles as written in description, but can suck in a charger cable, so it’s better to pick it from the floor. It automatically detects carpet and lifts mop so it does not get wet. I like the function that you can choose either whole house cleaning or selected room or just a zone. I had one issue though, after just 3 days of using it gave me an error that laser is blocked even it was completely clean and free and was turning as it suppose to. So I called technical support. They asked few questions and after requested a video that shows that it turns but anyways gives an error. Support team within a day sent me a return label, so I sent a roborock and in 4 or 5 days they delivered me the new one. Of course I was so upset in the very beginning because this thing is expensive, but after such a nice support team work and that I got the new one that works absolutely perfectly, I am so happy. Already 2 of my friends ordered same house helper, so I will not say that I will recommend roborock to my friend, because I already did. So, I am completely amazed.     • Did not detect dog poop. Broke after dog poopageddon
Had this Roborock for 8 months. It worked great. I have 3 goldens and sometimes it would get clogged with their hair but really helps to keep the house clean. One of the dogs had an accident while I was out for supper. The robot started schedule cleanup and did NOT, contrary to company claims, detect the poop. It went through the poop and continued clean up. I came home to poop smeared all over my floor, dragged and smooshed into every rug on the first floor. Despite best attempts to clean the robot, it now just flashes and won’t even allow me to do a factory reset. Suffice to say the robot was not a survivor from poopageddon. I’m still giving 4 stars because it did a great job before this. ... show more
