I bought no less than 6 robot vacuums to test this out. This is the one I ultimately decided to keep. I tested vacuums across all the price ranges and with all types of functions. I watched all of the vacuum wars videos and read the reviews intently. In the end, the Roborock S7 was the vacuum I selected. Pros: -Can use with just water (no requirement to pay for overpriced cleaning chemicals) -Mop feature is great and lift features works on all of my carpets -Navigation and mapping is the best I've tested -Varying suction powers and mopping intensities have allowed me to get the results I want -Roborock's app is the best I've used. I loved being able to put down where my furniture is and area rugs -Auto-emptying feature is something that can be turned off -Reliable and consistent, very rarely gets jammed or stuck -Easy to clean and maintain Cons: -Does not recognize my puzzle piece foam floor mats as mats. It treats them like carpet. Which is annoying because I would really like for them to get mopped daily -Despite having strong suction, it is not great on low pile rug with dog hair, I still have to go over our car track-themed low pile rug with a comb to pull the dog hair out of it 2x a week. The roborock seems to rub it further into the rug rather than suck it out. -I have it set not to bump into things but it doesn't get corners and certain areas as well as I'd like, I could probably reduce it's collision settings to get a better job but I find that vacuuming those corners and areas 2x a week when I already have to vacuum the stairs is okay for me. This is an area that much cheaper vacuums outperformed the Roborock in. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. I can legitimately say that having a robot vacuum has changed my life for the better. My house is so much cleaner, not only because its vacuumed and mopped daily but dust is way down. I can set the vacuum to go and do a quick clean before company comes over while I handle setting up appetizers or quickly wiping down the bathroom and surfaces etc. It really feels like we have a professional cleaning service coming in every day. I love it so so much. Any robot vacuum would make this incredible of a difference, but the Roborock was what we chose because of the mopping features and the reliability and ease of maintenance.

This is the best purchase for our home. It saves a lot of time. Vacuums and mops floor perfectly , not missing a spot. It avoids obstacles as written in description, but can suck in a charger cable, so it’s better to pick it from the floor. It automatically detects carpet and lifts mop so it does not get wet. I like the function that you can choose either whole house cleaning or selected room or just a zone. I had one issue though, after just 3 days of using it gave me an error that laser is blocked even it was completely clean and free and was turning as it suppose to. So I called technical support. They asked few questions and after requested a video that shows that it turns but anyways gives an error. Support team within a day sent me a return label, so I sent a roborock and in 4 or 5 days they delivered me the new one. Of course I was so upset in the very beginning because this thing is expensive, but after such a nice support team work and that I got the new one that works absolutely perfectly, I am so happy. Already 2 of my friends ordered same house helper, so I will not say that I will recommend roborock to my friend, because I already did. So, I am completely amazed. This purchase did not disappoint.

This was purchased last October, but we din’t start using it until February(ish). It worked really well for about half a year; it cleaned the floor really nicely. In August, though, our vacuum slowly died. At first, it would work for a few minutes and then shut down. We paid to have just about every part replaced, but nothing worked. It got to the point when we had no choice but to reach out to the company to see if they could help us. Sadly, it was one email giving us the run-around after another. The people representing the company sent one email after another asking a million questions and demanding various pictures. We finally just gave up thinking we’d actually get help From them. We plan to order another vacuum like the one we had, but it definitely won’t be from this company.

I've been using this vacuum on an automatic schedule that runs every morning for a month now, since I have a lot of pets to keep up with. My previous robot vacuum was an entry level Roomba, so quite the price difference, but I decided to go top of the line because the Roomba would take inefficient paths, do a half-assed job, get stuck regularly, and require manual cleaning every 2-3 cycles, making it more time and effort than just vacuuming myself. This vacuum looks similar but is the polar opposite. It mapped out my house and has an efficient path that takes a consistent amount of time, has only gotten stuck once, and hasn't required anything from my end beyond changing the water tanks every 2 days. The vacuuming isn't quite as thorough as if I did it with a standing vacuum, but the mopping and ability to run it daily actually leaves my floors cleaner than biweekly manual vacuuming from those 45 seconds of filling and pouring out water tanks. On cons, there's truly not much to say. The biggest issue I had was that it would give a "clean filter" error when I first got it, that turned out to be caused by the mop pad needing to be reseated. Hopefully they can update the error code to include that as a troubleshooting step in the app through a software update since I had to find that on a forum. Seems like the pad shifted out of position during shipping. Ultimately, whether this is worth it for you is going to come down to how hard the $1k price tag hits you. It's absolutely a time saver, and is fantastic if you want daily cleaning to keep up with pets, kids, or messy adults. Perhaps even for some it may even save you money if it allows you to reduce the frequency of a maid service. But if you're going for a robotic vacuum, I'd recommend avoiding the cheap models and going for something like this since the cheaper ones are a waste of money while these premium models actually save you time and energy.

I own several robot vacuums, and this one is one of the better performers for vacuuming—it cleans thoroughly and handles our floors well. The mopping works great on tile, but on wood floors it leaves a noticeable film, even when using the manufacturer’s cleaner. It’s also easy to use overall, but the mapping isn’t as accurate as my other units. With our glass sliders, it sometimes ‘sees’ through them and creates rooms that aren’t actually there. Overall, a strong vacuum with very good mopping on tile, but a few quirks with mapping and wood floors.

This is my second robot from Roborock, and I've since purchased a third to replace my first. I let it run every day, mopping and vacuuming a combination of hard floors and rugs. It works flawlessly as far as I can tell. It avoids most obstacles on its own, and seems to be smart enough to even dodge all the toys my dogs have all over the house. I will say, the app may even be more impressive than the robot itself. It's constantly being updated. And in the past 3 years, I've seen remarkable improvements and added capabilities delivered from free software updates. I feel like it would be hard to improve on this setup any further. I guess if I had to recommend improvements: - Let me make my own voice packs. I just think it would be fun. - Create a battle mode so two or more robots can play laser tag with their LiDAR. - Create better documentation. Nobody seems to know what the point of the matrix map is.

This unit is phenomenal. It mops and vacuums well. It is awesome how the mop raises itself when it gets to a carpeted area as to not wet the carpets unnecessarily. The vacuum dust bin empties itself and the mop cleans itself. There is minor routing maintenance required, but the app will let you know. It seems to be easy to get affordable replaceable wear parts. It is sturdy and well made and quite easy to repair and maintain. My only caveat is to make sure you inspect your cleaning areas prior to running if you have pets. It can make a "poop-si-daisy" turn into a major cleaning project if you aren't careful.

My yeedi was a beast when it came to cleaning my carpet. I could run my regular vacuum after the yeedi and there wasn't much left to get. Not so with this s7 ultra by roborock. After the first run it failed to meet expectations. It left a lot behind. It sounds like a jet engine on the carpet but it seems to be all bark. The dock is great though and it has great GPS ability It has yet to get lost and it mapped the house beautifully. My poor yeedi got lost a lot. I had to do a remap of my home after several months as it would forget about a whole room. I will give the roborock a month. If it doesnt improve on the carpet cleaning power I will drop the vac down to 3 stars. It has been almost a month. The roborock doc is amazing. So far it has never gotten lost. It does a thorough and complete job on my floors BUT it does a poor job cleaning my rugs. I did a quick vac on one of them with my shark and you will see the result in the pic. The bin was clean and empty befor and half full after. My previous robo vac left almost nothing for my shark. I'm sure it has great suction power because it sounds like a jet engine when it goes across my rug but it just doesn't get it so 3 stars it is.
