My wife made me buy one of these because some of her California friends had one. I was doubtful because I had a previous robot vacuum and it didn't really perform, but this one from Roborock did. Seems to be a really quality build and we haven't had any significant issues from it. Suction is good and it self cleans. I bought no less than 6 robot vacuums to test this out. This is the one I ultimately decided to keep. I tested vacuums across all the price ranges and with all types of functions. I watched all of the vacuum wars videos and read the reviews intently. In the end, the Roborock S7 was the vacuum I selected. Pros: -Can use with just water (no requirement to pay for overpriced cleaning chemicals) -Mop feature is great and lift features works on all of my carpets -Navigation and mapping is the best I've tested -Varying suction powers and mopping intensities have allowed me to get the results I want -Roborock's app is the best I've used. I loved being able to put down where my furniture is and area rugs -Auto-emptying feature is something that can be turned off -Reliable and consistent, very rarely gets jammed or stuck -Easy to clean and maintain Cons: -Does not recognize my puzzle piece foam floor mats as mats. It treats them like carpet. Which is annoying because I would really like for them to get mopped daily -Despite having strong suction, it is not great on low pile rug with dog hair, I still have to go over our car track-themed low pile rug with a comb to pull the dog hair out of it 2x a week. The roborock seems to rub it further into the rug rather than suck it out. -I have it set not to bump into things but it doesn't get corners and certain areas as well as I'd like, I could probably reduce it's collision settings to get a better job but I find that vacuuming those corners and areas 2x a week when I already have to vacuum the stairs is okay for me. This is an area that much cheaper vacuums outperformed the Roborock in. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. I can legitimately say that having a robot vacuum has changed my life for the better. My house is so much cleaner, not only because its vacuumed and mopped daily but dust is way down. I can set the vacuum to go and do a quick clean before company comes over while I handle setting up appetizers or quickly wiping down the bathroom and surfaces etc. It really feels like we have a professional cleaning service coming in every day. I love it so so much. Any robot vacuum would make this incredible of a difference, but the Roborock was what we chose because of the mopping features and the reliability and ease of maintenance. ... show more

    • Disappointed: Roborock Ignores Malfunction, Refuses Real Support
I purchased a Roborock robot vacuum expecting a premium product for the $1,000+ price tag. For nearly two years, it worked fine on both hardwood and carpet. Then it suddenly started stopping every 2–3 minutes with an error code. I have cleaned every part, followed all troubleshooting steps, and even sent it in for repair (paying over $150), yet it came back with the exact same issue — if not worse. When I contacted Roborock, instead of acknowledging that something was wrong, they blamed my home environment because my house is mostly carpet. This makes no sense — the robot worked on carpet for almost two years with no issues. It is obviously not because of my carpet, but because of a malfunction in the machine. If their products truly cannot perform in carpet-heavy homes, that should be clearly disclosed on their website. Instead, they advertise “Automatic Carpet Boost” and market the vacuums as multi-surface machines. Roborock offered me a refund of the repair fee, but also told me they cannot help with a future repair or replacement because of my carpeted home. Their response ignored most of my questions and gave me the impression they were more eager to close the case than to help a paying customer. I feel misled, disrespected, and extremely disappointed with their customer service. For a company making huge profits, they should stand behind their products and their customers — not push malfunctioning machines back onto them. Bottom line: My expensive robot is essentially unusable, and Roborock has refused to provide a real solution. I cannot recommend this company or their products. ... show more

    • Nice machine
This is really a great product. I used it successfully for several weeks and I was pleased. It mapped my house easily; however, then it ran over dog poop. My dog, who is normally house trained, for whatever reason, had an accident while I was away. When I can home - what a mess. I was disappointed that the machine didn’t ‘see’ it because the description said it would avoid obstacles. So, had to take everything apart and clean! Yuck! Reassembled the machine, put it in the charging dock, but it wouldn’t charge. Took the machine apart again, cleaned again, replaced in dock - nothing. Called customer support and they were great! We communicated by email. I did all the steps they asked me to do. No luck. They are sending me a refurbished machine with the same warranty as a new one. I don’t care if it’s refurbished; however, I would have preferred a new one since mine worked less than a month. My refurbished Roborock is sitting in my front hall. We’ve been on a trip. My house sitter brought it in. I’ll update my review after I get the replacement set up and running. If I’m pleased, I’ll change my review from a 4 to a five. But I still must compliment customer service. They reply promptly! ... show more
