The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover features a heavy-duty 8 x 8 scrim. The heavy- duty polyethylene material used for this cover weighs 2.36 oz./yd2. Both the scrim count and material weight are the best indicators of the strength and durability for your pool cover. This is a heavy-duty pool cover designed to protect your pool from the winter elements. The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover features an imperial blue topside and a black underside. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a five-foot overlap. Please order a larger size cover if you have steps (or any other irregularity) protruding from your pool. Water tube loops are placed around the perimeter of the pool cover. Water tubes sold separately. Only water tubes should be used to install this pool cover. No other method of installation is recommended. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. Includes a ten year warranty.

I purchased this cover last Fall with the hope that it would last through that winter and I would upgrade to a heavier cover before the next winter. You can't find a regular tarp this size at that price point, so my expectations were low. It held up very well. I secured it with water bags, pumped off the rain water as needed and got a solid 6 month's of use out of it before I reopened the pool earlier this year. It kept all of the leaves and debris out of the pool and the water was crystal clear when the cover was removed. I live in an area of the SE that sees some freezing temps, but usually no snow. It's a lightweight cover and was worth the price for what I needed it for.

Pool cover received with large parts of cover missing blue coating-see pictures....

Update going on third winter really impressed with cover. Received cover put on pool before inspecting, was very disappointed that product had the blue coating missing. I am not exactly sure at this point whether that is going to affect the sealing capability for this winter, but it definitely is a quality control issue. The cover has been on for about a week now. Packaging was good but was like the cover was packaged while still curing if that makes sense.

Cover sucks (literally) and warranty is useless

First, you have to submit your warranty within 30 days of purchase. I've gotten warranty coverage from other companies based solely on purchase date so I didn't really pay attention to it closely enough. BUT if I did get the warranty it would only be a discount to purchase another cover from them so ... Anyway, we put it on yesterday, totally dry. Within an hour I had puddle on top. Woke up this morning to several gallons of water and I can see dark patches. If I touch the dark patches the water puddles through. It useless as a cover like that so I have to buy a new one. I certainly didn't expect 10 years. I'd have been happy with 2-3 as nothing lasts forever when it comes to water and chlorine, but this is ridiculous. I'll get a different brand from now on.

It's a fair winter cover, nothing more

I've ordered these a few times and their longevity will depend on how well you take care of them during the winter. However well you do that, don't count on them lasting more than a few years. The fabric just doesn't last that long and while it likely won't puncture, tear, or unravel, the laminate will become thin and water will leak from the inside to the top of the cover. I am not into perfection management, but I do a decent job keeping the leaves and water off my cover. But leaves are organic and produce some acids and these do wear out a cover. It will also make a difference if you don't leave a cover pump on top of the cover. That holds it down and puts stress on it. Only install these things with double chamber water bags to weigh down the edges. That will do the job, even in a hurricane, which we are prone to receiving one here every 4-5 years. Wind just can't get underneath them to lift the cover and the rain on top helps hold them down. Just be sure that you allow enough slack in the cover to adjust for a few inches of water depth change underneath as that will happen. This is not a cover that is meant to be taut anywhere.

After one winter, most of the straps are no longer attached to the cover, which has several small holes scattered throughout the sections of tarp laying on top of what should have been clean water beneath it. Winter 2026 brought more snow than a typical Maryland winter. The winds remained the same. Perhaps prolonged snow on the cover and freeze-thaw conditions shortened the life of the cover. While the pool cover was priced reasonably, I expected it to last more than one season, especially when it is advertised as "Heavy Duty."

A very good cover for a very reasonable price.

We have only used it for about 4 weeks when we closed the pool. It was easy to open and cover the pool with it. When we ordered it we followed directions and ordered the Tarp the same size as the pool. When we opened it, the Tarp had extra material on all sides just like the online screen said. So far it appears that the Tarp is just what we needed for a very reasonable price. Now to see how it holds up thru an Ohio winter.
