Works just like a Nanny Cam in the house. We have a family member with health and mobility problems. With his full knowledge and consent, we have one sitting on a shelf in his room. We can check on him via our mobile phones when we are out of the house. We can speak to him to ensure he is OK. More than one of us have access to the camera 24/7. He feels safer, and we feel better that we can check on him via the Ring camera. These are perfect! USB Battery recharge. Use indoor or outdoor. We also have one at the front door - Of Course!

I’ve been really impressed with this Ring camera! The video quality is crisp during the day and surprisingly clear at night. Motion detection is accurate, and I love getting instant alerts on my phone whenever someone approaches my door. The two-way audio is clear, making it easy to talk to visitors or delivery drivers even when I’m not home. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the app is easy to navigate. It definitely gives me extra peace of mind and has been a great addition to my home security.

The camera works great when it is charged and connected. The picture quality is good, motion alerts are useful, and it gives me a convenient way to check what is happening outside from my phone. The main downside is the battery. It needs to be removed and charged every so often, and how frequently depends on how much motion the camera detects. It is not a huge problem, but it can be annoying when the battery runs low at an inconvenient time. Overall, it is easy to use and hard to beat for the price. Just understand that a battery-powered camera will require some maintenance.

I'm using the stick up-cam as a portable device, and this provides a lot of flexibility in terms of positioning. We're using this smaller cam to see what critter may have been living under a front porch to know what we're up against, as this was a blind spot for our Ring wired doorbell cam. After a very easy setup (we already had the Ring plan for three other devices), about 5 hours initial charge, we were ready to deploy by simply setting this cam on our front porch step. Camera quality seems good, even for night vision. I wasn't surprised by this, given our other Ring devices. It's endured some light rain and at least one night of freezing temperatures. I've read some of the critical reviews, including one or two that felt this camera detection was too sensitive. Sure, we got some captures that had no real movement, and that's a matter of turning down the sensitivity. These devices also allow one to define a motion zone such that movement outside the zone don't trigger the camera. Our stick-up cam setup has motion frequency at its maximum, but sensitivity is turned down a few notches from max so that it no longer triggers from vehicles on a cross street that's 150' away. Just over a week into this, battery is reporting 90% remaining. Being that this device isn't affixed to our house, it's our "portable cam." It can be used inside or outside to monitor any otherwise blind spot on a temporary or permanent basis. My only negative comment would be that the stick-up cam can't be powered off by the app. The only way I've found is to fully remove the battery.

The Ring Outdoor Cam (Stick Up Cam) is the perfect add-on wireless solar powered exterior camera for property owners and renters. The setup was easy with my existing Ring system and integrated easily with our home WiFi. The system as purchased does not include a mini solar panel, so do add that on to the order as it allows the user to mount the camera and charge the camera up during the day adequately to run all night. The image quality is excellent as is the field of vision. Overall, I am very happy with the camera’s performance and price point. Thanks
