batts come at 20% charge apparently so plan ahead to charge them up first. solid little cameras for outdoor use. two mount points for the pivot/wall mount assemble. i think this is well thot out except the batteries use mini-usb to charge but you can also just connect a USB C connector to the back of the camera for charging. not sure why the bother. audio mic/spkr are better than on the doorbell cam. 2k is better than my doorbell camera but maybe it needs to be updated. two battery based cameras for $100 right now is such a deal for these i'm ordering 2 more.

Love the Ring cameras. This one we got in black to match our home. It's small enough to hide and works great. We attached a solar panel to it to keep the battery charged all the time and it works good. Easy to set up and easy to see. Great notifications. Good value for your money. I got them on sale as well so it was even better!!

Great quality cams, loved it! Easy install, good sound and video quality, good value for the money. You can adjust how sensitive is your motion detection, I recommend to purchase the solar panel if you are installing this one in a busy environment, the battery will run out in a week if too busy. Otherwise could last like a month in lower traffic areas of the house.

Had these cameras up and installed for just over 3 weeks. Even noting daily activity, sometimes excessive (note to self, turn off the alerts during a birthday party when a dozen people are coming and going) I’m just charging the batteries today after 3 weeks. I opted against the additional cost of the solar panel, and hard wiring wasn’t an easy option so I stuck with the batteries. I’ve been very pleased with the camera quality, including the night vision. Given the price, I would recommend for an effective, real-time outdoor camera that seems to hold up to the elements very well.

I use this camera in my backyard, and it works great for what I need. Just like the Ring doorbell, you need a subscription if you want to view the recorded history. The battery life has been pretty good so far, I only need to recharge it about once every two months.
