I have had this only a few hours. I am very impressed with the ease of set up and the clarity of the view (day or night). The second thing that caught me off guard was when I was installing the camera was I got a message through ring that someone hand their hands on the camera. I researched that and it is a anti theft feature. This is my second ring camera, first one is a Ring Doorbell install in 05/2021. Never a problem with the doorbell in 5 years.

Good quality, does everything I expected. The battery charge length is good. The video sound quality is acceptable. The ring camera app has a lot of features to it that I will never use but it's fairly easy to navigate through. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend to others.

My home is wired with fiber optic, internet speeds are most likely over kill, then I got 4 of the Ring Outdoor Cam Plus, the clarity of live stream on my phones is amazing, every detail of my home is visible, the night time live stream is just as amazing as the daytime live feed. Motion detection at night has enabled me to see all the critters that come out at night, its like a movie, cheap entertainment for the kids. Also it drives the dogs nuts when I see them on live stream and use the intercom to talk to them when I'm sitting at my desk at work. They are so confused wondering where I am. The cams have the dashboard ( down load ring app) that you can configure the cams with lots of bells and whistles for each cam. You can spend so serious time with all the cam functions, what function you want on and what you want turned off. I went with the battery for power source. The most bells and whistles you have on the faster the battery drains. With all the basic functions I have enabled i get just over 2 months of battery life. Charging the battery with a USB is a snap. I charge on the weekends when home so cams are down for a good number of hours. For what these cams do they are worth it.

Really like the wider angle, clearer view and truer night vision of this camera over my other Ring Stick Up Cams. Has a new mount and the holes don't match the old ones but they could have and the mount has a drop out to let it clear a post a little further I guess, but while the drop out piece is really stiff to move in the mount, once out it won't hold the camera up. You can tighten it, but then you can adjust until you loosen, so a 3rd party mount is needed if you need to clear an obstacle. Compared to StickUp Cam in same position on same settings, it only has about half the battery life, so a solar charger might be needed depending on the situation. Motion detection is much better with fewer false recordings and better object detection. You can set to detect a Car, a Person, Any Motion or combination and get true detection results. No you can't read a licence plate on the roadway, nor can you on any camera in this price range. Love the camera, hate the mount, understand about the battery life. When Ring comes out with a PoE powered version I'll be the first in line to buy 5 of them and a wired doorbell battery plus version too. ---- Comments added based on other post... Mountable under an eave, and both the camera and image will be upright. Will charge if desired with 4-5 Watt Solar Charger using the USB C port on the bottom (it comes with a rubber plug inserted). You need a good upper end current model router with good bandwidth for best results. Camera will connect on either 2.4 of 5 GhZ wifi, but generally 2.4 GhZ will give best results. If you are new to cameras of this type, you'll probably quickly deplete the battery. If your motion detection settings give abt 5 hits a day you'll get 4-8 weeks, if you get about 20-50 hits a day you'll need a solar charger. You should gradually be able to wean yourself down from recording everything to just a car or person in your yard (define motion area with the zone setting) if you are using the battery version.

Amazing camera with a wide angle view. It allows us to monitor our entire backyard which is about 1/2 an acre. We added the solar panel since the location does not have electric access. Works great.

Works great. I still need to mount it outside. It the battery seems to last awhile without having to charge it to often. Great picture quality. This is my 3rd ring product. I like that it connects with my other items.
