Great camera for the price! The video quality is clear, setup was simple, and it does exactly what I need for basic home monitoring. It’s a solid, affordable option if you’re looking for something reliable without spending too much. The only downside is the app—it can be a bit wonky at times. That said, it’s more of a software issue than anything with the camera itself. If they gave the app a little more attention, this would easily be perfect. Overall, still very happy with my purchase! Battery life is good just needs to be plugged.

I never thought I would be writing a review for a security camera, but after my unforgettable experience with the Blink Mini, I couldn't resist sharing my story. From the moment I set my eyes on this compact indoor plug-in smart security camera, I knew my home would never be the same again. Unboxing: When the package arrived, I eagerly tore it open like a kid on Christmas morning. Inside, I found the Blink Mini, beautifully wrapped in its pristine white color. I have to admit, the camera itself looked adorable, and I couldn't help but chuckle at its tiny size. It was like a cute little spy on a mission to protect my home. Easy Setup: Setting up the Blink Mini was an absolute breeze. Even for a technologically challenged person like me, it took no more than a few minutes. I plugged it into an outlet, connected it to my Wi-Fi using the Blink app on my smartphone, and voila! I was ready to go. It's worth mentioning that the app was incredibly user-friendly, guiding me through the entire setup process with clear instructions. Crystal Clear HD Video: The Blink Mini boasts an impressive 1080p HD video quality, and boy, does it deliver! The first time I viewed the live feed on my phone, I was blown away by the clarity and sharpness of the image. It felt like I was watching a high-definition movie, except this one was starring my own living room. The camera captured every detail, from the texture of my couch to the fur on my pet's back. Night Vision Magic: Nighttime is when the real fun begins with the Blink Mini. Its advanced night vision feature turned my house into a stage for some comical shenanigans. The camera does pretty much what they claim. I bought it to spy on my mother's care givers, but never set it up as such. Recently I set it up in conjunction with two outdoor cameras to watch over my house while I took a trip. The app was fairly easy to set up, and they remote arming and disarming worked adequately. The audio is relatively poor, but, with fine hearing, can be understood. Resolution is good, and I have it set to record directly to a USB stick and do NOT use the cloud storage, thus, in theory, limiting Amazon's access to my data. I have this camera on top of a china cabinet to monitor the front door. When armed it usually detects if the door opens. My sister also monitors my cameras and sometimes will speak to me over this one when I come in the door. Deficiencies: 1) This camera is powered by a USB cable and must be plugged in to a powered USB connection or power block. This means that, unless that connection is on a UPS, if your house power goes out, the camera ceases to function. 2) Amazon can, and does monitor the camera (at least the audio) and will use that information for their own ends. Today I came in the door and my sister talked to me through the camera and I told her I had bought 120 lbs of birdseed. Afterwards I signed on to Amazon to order some items, and the "Recommended for Me" area at the bottom of the page was nothing but BIRDSEED! I do not know if the Amazon AIs also monitor the video but they are certainly tuned into the audio! Bottom line: A nice little camera that will perform as advertised, IF YOU DON'T MIND AMAZON LISTENING IN. As a result, I strongly recommend that you do NOT have the camera aimed at any place where you would perform anything of a sensitive nature, such as a safe combination, or a computer screen where you will enter usernames and passwords, just in case they monitor the video as diligently as they do the audio.

I used this Blink Mini indoor camera in a second home, and the setup was quick with a user-friendly app that made it easy to get running. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night, which covers basic monitoring needs well. The design is small and sleek, so it doesn’t stand out much in a room. This is my second set, and the experience has been consistent across both. I haven’t run into any issues with performance so far. Overall, a reliable and straightforward option for indoor security.
