Where do I start? I am not tech savvy at all. I was able to set this up VERY easily. The hardest part was drilling into my house. I purchased the two camera system. Both cameras completely cover the front and sides of my house and they have motion detection. You download the free app. You don’t have to buy a subscription. The camera holds onto events throughout the day. It has a crisp, clear view and clear sound. You can operate it through the app. You can turn a light on the security camera, there is also an automated message featuring a man’s voice. There are three options. One says, leave a package, one prompts people to leave the property immediately and the last one asks what the person is doing on the property. You can also speak through the camera via the app. As well as zoom and rotate the camera 360°. Lastly, there is a loud siren you can set off. During the day the camera is in full color. At night, there is an option of full color or regular night vision. You can allow alerts through the app that go right to your phone. This is an absolute must. Especially for people that might be scared to be home alone and if you have children home alone. I have Doberman Pinschers. Usually their bark scares everyone off. With the addition of these cameras, I feel EXTRA, extra secure. I am so happy with these that I’m gifting them to family members.

I never write reviews but I felt the need to do so for the Aosu solar wifi camera system. This system is super easy to setup, its performance has been top notch so far and the video quality is great (both day and night) for only being 2k. Some of our cameras are in somewhat shaded areas but they are continuously charged to 100%. We use this system in a pretty remote, wooded (and dark) location so that's impressive. It is summer in the northeast so we'll see what happens over the winter. It tracks people very well and we've gotten a lot of critter footage. It seems to differentiate between animals and people very well. Sometimes we wish it would track animals like it does people but we bought it for surveillance purposes not animal tracking. We didn't have the opportunity or need to contact customer service so we can't comment on that. If they are as helpful as others say, it's just one more reason to purchase it. This is a great value for the price. Don't hesitate...it's a good one. Hopefully, it'll stay that way over the winter too.

UPDATED REVIEW! As you can see from the Original Review at the bottom... BELOW this update, I was and am still not satisfied with these cameras. HOWEVER, something truly unbelievable is the GREAT Customer Service Dept and Tech Support of the AOSU organization. I contacted them 1 DAY AFTER the 30-Day Return Window of Amazon Prime membership, to see if there was any chance to return them anyway, since my delay was due to circumstances beyond my control. The problems were that all cameras were slow to detect motion, and one camera just would not work at all, after only a few days. I was contacted by "Lynette" of the AOSU Customer Service/Tech Support. Later I found out that I could even contact them by PHONE, though all our communication was by EMAIL. I explained all I had tried, and the results. She offered several options to try, and I tried them to no avail. After 4-5 emails back and forth, and my even offering some possible reasons for the slow communication between the cameras and Wifi Router (like the solid concrete with rebar walls on my house), seeing that I had done due diligence to try to have them work, Lynette said that their main concern is having their product satisfy the needs of their customer base... and even after replacing the one camera that would not work at all, she offered me a FULL REFUND of my purchase (4 cameras + homebase), without even requiring me to return the cameras, because even though they didn't work for me as a detection system for home security, they do work to be able to see what is going on outside, and the fact that I can turn the view of the cameras 360 deg around and view up/down 90 deg, they still do have a value and purpose. I had read on some other reviews that their customer service was really good and workable, which in my opinion is by far their greatest value, as I have dealt with another 'foreign' security camera on Amazon, and could not even contact them either by phone or email. Luckily, I was able to return those (other brand) before the 30-day return window had closed. NOW I cannot say enough GOOD things about AOSU (the company), not just because they gave me a full refund, but because they were willing to work with me to try to get them to work as they should. Who knows WHY these cameras did not work on my house as by contrast others seem happy to report that they work on theirs. We are in the process of buying another house (with Block and Stucco instead of Solid Concrete Walls) and will try these cameras on that house. IF THEY WORK THERE... I will offer to refund the refund to AOSU, or buy more cameras for that house... Fair is Fair. IF you have a house with solid concrete walls with rebar in them, be aware that such could be the problem of a slow or failing communication with your WiFi. If such, then perhaps a (non-wireless) cameras may be the solution, if you have easy access to the WiFi, through your attic. As to the attached SOLAR PANELS I thought that it would be a problem, due to installing them near the overhang soffits, blocking the sun's rays to charge them, (we have a 1-story house), but then I discovered an attachment that lets you mount them on a gutter. My cameras were always at 100% charged with just a few hours of daylight, and worked all night (under normal use), as the longer one is viewing them at night (especially with the light on), the more wear there is on the charge. Aside from the possible mishaps (like mine) I highly recommend these cameras. I also highly DO NOT recommend the other security camera system that begins with "HI..." (I don't think I am allowed to say their name), as I was never able to get a response from them. Pricewise, they are about the same whether purchased at Amazon or directly through AOSULife.com/products. AOSU also has Fast, Free Shipping, a 30-day Return Policy/Guarantee, and a 365-Day Warranty, PLUS 24/7 Customer Service, just like Amazon... And if you ever have a problem with them, no matter who you bought them from, Lynette is far nicer to chat with. THANK YOU LYNETTE for all your help and restoring my faith in your products. ORIGINAL REVIEW: (09/11/2025); ordered 08/11/2025. I waited 4 wks to be able to give an accurate review. These cameras are undependable. I set up a cam on both front corners as well as 1 in middle at entryway. The corner ones can turn 270 degrees to cover front and sides. The entry way was there to try to find out WHO keeps picking up my paparazzi at the driveway and bringing it to my front door. I still don’t know. 1 corner camera picks up people and cars on the street OR people sitting on our front patio, BUT no one walking into our yard UNTIL the get within 10ft of the house. NOT as advertised. Entryway cam picks up some people on the street, but starts recording at middle of their walk thru the view OR a person LEAVING, but NOT ARRIVING. One cam seemed to do a better job than the other 2 in front, so I switched their locations. Effectively, the better cam worked better than the other two, even in new locations. I changed the settings to max sensitivity, tried different options… Motion, People, etc to no avail. They are still not worth the investment. Another problem is loading a video… loading, loading, loading, but it never loads. And the segment times vary, who knows why. Sometimes it shows video alert, even though nothing is seen on video. Sound is broken up and brightness set to 2K it self changes to Soft, on its own, so no use to try to set anything if it will self adjust. I CANNOT RECOMMEND these cams for security. At most they are only good to see what is happening outside LIVE, but you could be robbed or assaulted in your home and the homebase MAY or MAY NOT alert you to what is coming in, because apparently they can’t see it. Also it the DEFAULT view is set, while it CAN turn 360deg it only sees the Default View, an is unaware of anyone coming from a side view. NOT worth the money spent. I was going to get a Door Entry cam, but NO WAY after seeing what these cams do and DON’T DO. And now 1 camera quit working… uses up all the battery and solar won’t charge it. Tried charging it manually and that doesn’t charge it either… AFTER JUST FOUR WEEKS OLD.

I recently ditched my old camera system for these aosu D-1 cams and I couldn’t be happier. With my previous setup, I was constantly dealing with disconnections and unreliable coverage. Their app was painfully slow to open and sometimes it wouldn’t load at all. Since switching to aosu, those connection issues are completely gone. The system is genuinely DIY and easy to set up and use. The picture quality is clear, both day and night, and the wireless connectivity has been consistently strong around my property. The app is fast, stable, and user friendly, and I really appreciate that it’s subscription-free—no monthly fees just to view my own cameras. One of my favorite features is the solar-charged batteries. I have the camera installed under the awning and I’m not having any issues with solar charging. The batteries stay topped off so I don’t have to climb up and swap batteries every so often. I also love the 360° pan and tilt with auto-tracking; the camera smoothly follows movement, which gives me much better coverage than my old fixed cameras. Overall, this aosu camera system is reliable, easy to use, and surprisingly affordable for everything you get. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade from a flaky, older system to something more modern and hassle-free.

Overall I’m satisfied with this product. Don’t have to pay a monthly subscription and their solar panel. Had these for 2 weeks now and they’ve been 100% battery. The picture quality is pretty good for its price only wish the zoom feature is less pixel. It didnt took long to mount the cameras. The app is pretty good I could look at the cameras while I’m at work. Wish the app isn’t as laggy though. Only couple dislikes I have is I wish the talk ability is more clear. When I try to talk on both voice changer and normal voice, it cuts my voice a lot. Note they’re within 70+ percent on wifi range in which AOSU recommends moving your camera close to the home hub if it’s less than 50% of WiFi signal range. Another thing I dislike is during the cold , it really fogs up the camera view. Only time it’ll clear is when it gets warmer. Other than that, I’m again , satisfied with this camera and I’d recommend this for anyone that wants a value price of security cameras and don’t have to pay a monthly subscription.

The setup and connectivity was seamless as easier than expected. I've had these cameras up for a few now, I can say I'm really pleased. The 4 cameras cover the front and back of my home. I get notifications of all movements which is great. I was able to link the cameras to my Google home network which is a big plus. The quality of the video quality is good and I'm glad they have built in local storage with the option of cloud storage. I'm happy that I don't have to automatically buy into cloud storage to save my videos.

I am extremely impressed with this security camera system. From the moment I opened the box, the setup process was quick, simple, and very user-friendly. The cameras connected easily, and I had everything up and running in no time. One of the standout features is the mobile app. It is by far one of the best security camera apps I have used. The interface is clean, responsive, and packed with useful features. My favorite feature is the ability to view all four cameras simultaneously on a single screen. Being able to monitor the front yard, backyard, driveway, and other areas of my property at the same time provides excellent situational awareness and peace of mind. The motion tracking feature is another huge advantage. The cameras intelligently follow movement, making it much easier to see exactly what is happening instead of relying on a fixed view. Motion detection alerts are fast and reliable, keeping me informed whenever activity is detected around my property. The video quality is excellent both during the day and at night. Images are sharp, clear, and detailed, allowing me to easily identify people, vehicles, and other activity. The night vision performance exceeded my expectations, providing bright and clear footage even in low-light conditions. The two-way audio is also surprisingly crisp and clear. Conversations come through with excellent sound quality, making it easy to communicate with visitors or monitor activity around the home. I've had these for a year and 4 months now. I wanted to wait a year to review them, but went a bit over. These are really good cameras. We've had record rainfall, a tornado and record high temps since I installed them and they are all working perfectly. I installed the free (available upon request) external solar panels on some of them and they stay at 100% charge. I'm not going to try telling you these cameras are perfect, but they really are great, for the following reasons. 1) Wireless range. I have the base unit in a cabinet under my TV with several other bases and a wireless gateway. In theory, this should dramatically cut down the distance that I can install the cameras from said base. I have 2 of the cameras over 100' from the base, one hidden behind a metal shed, and they work fine. In bad weather I occasionally get a message on the one behind the shed that its signal is weak, but it still works fine. 2) Appearance. These are good looking cameras. They have blue lights that come on when they sense movement, which lets people know they're being watched. If the color night vision is enabled, they have very bright LEDs that light the area up nicely when it's dark out. 3) Function. I get near instant notifications on my phone when someone is approaching, although the 'human detection' could use some work. Still, I'd rather get excess notifications when deer walk though the gate than wonder if it's always catching trespassers, so I'm OK with that. 4) Battery life. I used the 4 cameras in my kit with the built-in solar panels until the (upon request) external ones were delivered. (order them after delivery using the instructions in the box) and all 4 cameras stayed close to 100% charge, even the ones that didn't have direct sunlight. I now have 3 of them on external panels and they always show 100%. The other camera is on the sunny side of the house and it doesn't need one. 5) The app. It's easy to use and actually works! (love when that happens). I added an Aosu doorbell (highly recommended) later on and it popped right up in the app beside the cameras. I can download videos to my phone with one touch and view recorded footage with no subscription. 6) Footage quality. I can read license plates (see below), tell who's coming from a distance and see color video even at night. They are great cameras. Not perfect. Sometimes, if a car is driving too quickly, the license plate is blurred, but I work in security with cameras that cost over $3,000 each and they do the same thing... The bad. 1) When automatically following someone / thing, the PTZ motion is jerky, not smooth. It'll move a lot, stop, then move a lot again. It's fine, the subject stays in frame, but it's not a smooth movement. Also, in the fall, I had to reduce the sensitivity of 2 cameras as blowing leaves were triggering them. 2) The notifications. There may be a way to change this, I'm old and haven't tried hard enough, but there are a lot of notifications when someone comes in the yard. At least one from each camera, usually 2 (coming and going), plus another blanket notification when the event is all over, to make sure you're aware that the other eight notifications were noticed. Again, I'd rather have too many than not enough - nobody is coming onto the property unnoticed. 3) Adding cameras. I bought the 4 camera kit and would have to buy another kit and have another base station to add more cameras. I knew this going in, so I can't complain. It would be nice if there was more expansion capability in the base unit, though. That's it. Buy these and a doorbell and know everything that's going on outside, all the time.
