    • Doesn't perform like a "chemical free" product
Well, the coverage and ease to use was good, however, for an ammonia free product, it left my hair feeling coarse. The enclosed conditioning packet did not work well, with the. coarseness not getting better. I expected it to not dry out my hair, disappointed.

    • TOO DARK BUT WORKS WELL.
I wish they had more color choices and would stick to the numbers and letters the professionals color stylists use. I’m dark blonde/cool ash and I usually use a 6A. The only thing from this brand that seemed to match was 51, so I went with that. The smell is pleasant and the application is rather easy (careful when applying, because it will stain your skin!). The result was unfortunately A LOT darker than what I expected/wanted. That said, and even though I don’t like the color, it does gives great coverage. I have annoying stubborn grays on each side and they were gone. It’s been 2-3 weeks since I used it and it hasn’t faded yet. If you can find a color that matches your hair color, then you’ll be very happy with this product. I would buy it again if they had the right color for mine! ... show more

    • Newer to Using At Home Hair Dye But This Was Still Easy to Use
I always used to get my hair highlighted when I was a teen. However, when I got pregnant at 19, I didn’t want to get my hair highlighted all the time. So, I had my hair brought back to its original dark brown color. I wanted highlights again a few years after my son was born. My dad always did my moms hair for her, so I figured he could do mine. Not sure why he was able to do my moms so perfectly all the time, but him doing mine....well it went HORRIBLY wrong 🤦♀️😂 Needless to say, he paid to get it brought back to my original dark brown hair. Ever since then, I’ve just kept it natural. However, now I’m 34 and I have a bunch of gray in the front and mixed throughout my hair. With how dark brown my hair is, it’s very noticeable and I don’t like it! So, I wanted to try at home hair dye again (this time WITHOUT my dads assistance 😂). My hair is pretty damaged and thinner, so I was worried about hair dye damaging it further. I saw this was a a “clean and vegan nourishing cream formula. Formulated without ammonia, parabens, sulfates, silicones, mineral, phthalates or gluten.” I also saw this, “Botanical enriched conditioning gloss contains camellia oil and ingredients carefully selected by shade: sesame oil for brunettes, black tea for dark hair, cranberry for reds and chamomile for blondes. Gentle on hair and respectful of scalp.” With all that, I figured this would be a good product to try for the second time ever trying to dye my hair at home, and that it would be gentle on my hair. I’m really glad I saw this! It worked so well! I followed the instructions exactly as they were laid out. It made it so easy for me! I had seen some reviews talking about staining so I took precautions to protect my counters and floors. I also saw in a video I watched for tips using at home hair dye, to make sure the skin at your hairline does not get stained, to put Vaseline on the skin all around your hairline. So I did that as well. There was no heavy, harsh smell like a lot of hair dyes have. I didn’t get any staining anywhere. It covered my grays up well. It lasted a good amount of time! My hair didn’t seem dry, it even seemed a little more moisturized! All that and it comes at such an affordable price! I will definitely be buying this when I need it again! If you’re looking for a hair dye that’s affordable, and gentle on your hair, but still works well, I recommend this! EDIT: It’s now 2023 and I unfortunately can’t seem to find this anywhere 😞 It worked so well, so it’s disappointing it seems to be discontinued now? ... show more
