  • True to claims on packaging.
Color: 61 Dark Blonde
My first time doing at home hair coloring. I’ve been so nervous to try for years. Absolutely love how it turned out. Definitely will buy again. The product did exactly what it said it will do. My hair feels amazing and looks great.

  • Information on coloring your hair
Color: 60 Dark Ash Blonde
The Revlon ColorSilk with Bond Repair Complex, Permanent Hair Color Dark Ash Blonde (Pack of 3) - is good quality hair color. First, I'd like to mention that at the time I'm writing this, there's three other reviews for the color dark ash blonde - two of the reviews have incorrect information and one review is more of a brief advertisement and doesn't really give you any beneficial information about the product. The only reason I'm addressing this is it's going to mislead people. Two of the reviewers said they have dark brown hair and are going to use this to lighten their hair. That is not possible with any hair boxed hair color. The only way to go from dark brown to ash blonde is with bleach. Even the high lift boxed colors won't lift medium brown or dark brown hair. If you use those, you will end up with orange hair. Anytime you're buying boxed hair color, it's always for hair that has never been dyed. Hair that has been previously dyed can only go to the same color or darker. It can also change the tone. For example, if you have too gold of hair then you can use an ash color to tone down the gold. Please know that anytime you're looking at the model on boxed hair color it is just a guide. In order for your hair to look the same color as on this box, you will have to have hair that has never been dyed and lighter than the color shown. Gray hair that has not been dyed can go lighter but I would still do a trend test since the final result can be unpredictable. Also, if your hair is dyed lighter like a medium blonde, you can use this to darken your hair. If your hair is dry or damaged, you always want to go one shade lighter because your hair will be darker then what is shown on the box because it will absorb a lot of the color and the undertone base. I've tried many brands of hair color and I did like how this left my hair feeling soft. The formula is more on the runny side so please have something underneath when you're dying your hair. The base of this color is green (I only know that because I've colored my hair so many times with ash colors). I started with dyed neutral medium blonde hair and it gave me dark ash blonde with the green undertone - which I do not like. I prefer a blue or a violet base. If you have more red undertones or orange in your hair, a green base will work well. It's easiest to go online, look at images to see the different colors and tones and what you're hoping to achieve. Revlon sells a great variety of hair colors to choose from. I will tell you trying any new permanent color, you should always do a strand test before you put it throughout your whole hair. With this product to do a strand test, you would take one capful of color (it is a liquid formula) and one capful of the developer and follow the instructions on how long to leave it on your hair. I would also make sure and have extra gloves. It does come with one pair. If your hair is very thick or longer than a couple inches past your shoulder, it's always good to have a second box and that this comes in a three pack makes it a lot less riskier of running out of hair color. This is a quality hair color if you can get the color right and then stick to it. ... show more

  • A great color—not too light or dark
Color: 60 Dark Ash Blonde
I’m a redhead and had been using light golden brown hair color and root touch up for many years but noticed my hair getting darker and darker, which I didn’t like. I saw a sale on some medium blonde Revlon Root Erase (I’m so sad they discontinued it) and couldn’t resist trying it, though I feared it might be too light. Actually, it turned out so well, I’ve been using colors in the blonde family more often. Yet, I’d never tried ash blonde, thinking it would dull the red tones. When I saw this Revlon hair color, I thought I’d give it a try for my husband who has medium brown hair. When I use my golden colors on him, it produces red tones we don’t want, so I read that ash colors minimize that. Well, being frugal, and having half the color left over after doing his hair, I decided to use some on my roots too. Can you believe that my hair came out great? I have some resistant white hairs in a few places too, but this stuff covered it. What I do is cover my head with a plastic processing cap and use a hair dryer on it for about a minute, then wait 20 minutes before washing it out. In my husband’s case, I like the color this produced, a nice light ash brown. Even when I’d buy him light brown, it came out dark brown and looked too severe, so the blonde is the ticket. Gray still shows in places, but I think that would have been covered better if he left it on over 20 minutes. Note to self for next time. Anyway, our hair came out healthy looking and soft. This is a winner! ... show more

  • 60 Dark Ash Blonde 3 pack covers the grey in 25 min.
Color: 60 Dark Ash Blonde
So far, I've been impressed with how well this covered all of my grey hair. I have used other products that took longer and more time to cover, but this Revlon ColorSilk with Bond Repair Complex covered everything the first time, having it set for 25 minutes before rinsing and conditioning. After using this, my hair did not feel strange or straw-like. I only used half of each bottle, and I had a lot left over. As you can see in the picture, I do not have long hair. I'm a guy, and I have short, thin hair. This comes with everything you will need to use the entire kit. It also comes with disposable gloves attached to the underside of the instructions. I'm happy with this, especially with how well it covers. For the price of the three-pack, and since I only use half, this gives me six applications. With its current price, it makes this extremely affordable to dye your hair successfully and to cover those greys. ... show more

  • hair feels soft
Color: 60 Dark Ash Blonde
I did not expect my hair to feel soft after using a hair dye, but this seems to be conditioning. It is very easy to use since everything is in the box. The color is accurate based on my hair already being bleached. The color was easy to apply because of the texture and it applied evenly. I have medium to long hair so I ended up having to use two boxes. This hair color seems to be good quality and show an accurate prediction of color ... show more
