I first started dying my hair when I was a teen 24 years ago and have always used only boxed hair dye. I've tried so many brands from the more expensive ones to the cheaper ones, including Revlon. It's been many years since I last dyed my hair or used Revlon so I'm not sure if I've used this specific kind before but once I saw the color of it, I had to get it. I mostly dye my hair the same basic colors, always dark and usually colors like black, dark purplish brown or dark reddish brown so this color was right up my alley. This deep burgundy looked beautiful so I was excited to try it. The dye was easy to mix with straight forward instructions and included some one size fits all gloves. While the gloves serve their purpose, they are the cheaper lose ones that fall off easily. I would highly recommend using a pair of latex gloves that actually fit you since it's easier to work with the dye that way. I can't really comment on how the dye smelled since I had a cold when I was dying it and couldn't smell anything. I have thicker hair that's mid back length so I knew I had to use two boxes as one wouldn't be enough. I was able to full saturate my hair with one and half bottles and left it on for close to 40 minutes since my natural color is chestnut brown. Once I rinsed it out, I used the provided conditioner and let it sit on my hair for a few minutes before rinsing that out. I was thrilled with how my hair turned out. The color looks different depending on how the light hits it which I love. When inside, the color looks like a dark almost purplish brown but in the sun, the reddish color comes out. All my hair dyed evenly, was very shiny and super soft. In addition to this dye making my hair look great, the price for this it was great. Getting 3 boxes of hair dye for the same price they normally charge for one from another brand is amazing. I will definitely be buying this hair dye again in the future. I've included 3 photos of my hair with my review showing how it looked after dying it in various lighting conditions. Unforunately, I don't have a photo of how it looked before.

Great color coverage especially on grey areas, I already had dark brown hair and with this color, I got a deep burgundy uniform color that I love (after using 2 of the 3 boxes in this set.). Great product, easy to recommend.

Worked well for me. I took a lot of time focusing on the roots bc red hues and gray hair usually leave me some highlighter marker color on my roots. This one saturated really well and the roots were lighter but not shockingly bright. Scissors are needed to cut the bottle open. Not a big deal, but a surprise to me since my usual brands have a lid. The included gloves looked like the cheapies that fit like sandwich bags, but they must've been one tier higher bc they fit my hands and I was able to keep them on throughout the application process without any issues. There wasn't an overwhelming smell during application. The dye was a bit thin and dripped easily. I had to spend a lot more time and attention applying it than other brands. Since my hair was dark brown, the color wasn't as bright as depicted on the box. I expected that and prefer the result I achieved vs the picture on the box. It's just a bit more subtle but still pops, especially in sunlight. The conditioner is a small amount in a foil pouch. Skimpier than other brands, but perfectly adequate and better than paying for filler products. My hair doesn't feel especially dry or damaged but it does feel different like it has been processed. I suspect this dye may be a bit harsher than others I used with keratin.

I have darker brown hair with grays. I've used Colorsilk for years and have never been disappointed with 100% even coverage and accurate coloring turnout. The deep burgundy has a purple tone that shines beautifully, especially under lighting. Super easy application and easy to follow instructions. If they sold the conditioner packets by themselves I would buy it alone as well. It is so softening and smells amazing. Depending on how heavily and frequently you shampoo will have a direct effect on fading. Reds and purples wash out easier than any other color so do keep that in mind when determining how often you plan to continue upkeep with those color tones. I love that you get a pack of three for the same price you pay for one box of high claiming low performing brands. This is a go to brand for me that performs as promised at a very budget friendly price. Deep color saturation, good quality, reasonably priced and never had a bad experience.

Got these for a good deal at $14.77 for a bundled package of three. I already know the reliability of Revlon and like this brand, but this was a deal too good to pass up. I color my hair different shades, but it's long and thick and usually takes 2-3 boxes. I was able to get every strand covered with three boxes and it worked reliably well, as usual. Very happy with this product.

While I was impressed with the application process and the ease of use, the final color didn’t match my expectations. Instead of the rich burgundy I was hoping for, my hair turned out more of a medium brown. The product did have a pleasant scent and left my hair feeling soft and shiny, which I appreciated. The color is still nice, just not quite the vibrant shade I imagined. If you're looking for a subtle change or have darker hair, this might work well for you. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars for quality and ease of use, but if you're specifically aiming for a true deep burgundy, you might want to consider a different product or adjust your expectations.
