I typically stick to a different brand but I have been looking for something different to try on my gray hair. My other brand has been fading out so fast and not really keeping my grays looking better, but they are very stubborn and hard to cover. The bottle was a bit difficult to get open and I needed scissors to clip the top, my other brand just screws off and no scissors are needed, and these are about the same price in comparison, I would thing that a screw top lid would be on all of these bottles these days. Guess not. I had more than enough product for my shoulder length somewhat thin hair than I needed, so one box was plenty and the. Some, I really soak my hair down well when I color it so I used every drop, I left this on for about 40 minutes versus the amount of time it states to leave it on for just because my grays are so stubborn. It’s been about two weeks and I wash my hair about twice.a week, and I’ve not noticed any real fading and my grays still look good and are covered fairly well. I’m shockingly happy with this product for the most part, and the color is very nice, I’ve been doing a purplish black for years but it’s nice to come back to a nice basic color and I’m enjoying being bake to wear my hair extensions again with this color. I’d buy this again, in fact, I am sure I will. I do wish the top screwed off of the bottle. I wasn’t a fan of the serum and feel that wasn’t really necessary as I have plenty of my own hair serums for almost every need you can imagine, but someone else may not have those and enjoy it. It made my hair feel a bit coarse and I wasn’t a big fan of it, The conditioner was pretty good but not my favorite either. ... show more

I'd never tried Revlon ColorSilk before and was curious about what demi-permanent hair color would be like. The fact that it's ammonia-free and fades in about a month made me wonder if it was worth the effort and money, considering it doesn't last very long. But, it turned out to be a great option, especially for someone like me who isn't a pro at hair coloring. The idea that any mistakes would wash out in a month was reassuring. Plus, it's less harsh than permanent colors, making it a good choice for beginners. The kit comes with everything needed, and one box was enough for my medium-length hair. The #3 brown black color looked natural and nice. My hair didn't feel overly damaged afterward. For anyone considering coloring their hair themselves, I'd recommend this product. ... show more

This hair dye works perfectly! I got the color 3 Brown/Black and it turned out to be this beautiful dark brown (almost black) color. It was super easy to use and do it myself at home. It also came with a scalp and hair serum which made my hair feel revived after dyeing it.
