  • A good solid, expandable, robust security system.
The Reolink NVR was a breeze to setup. The system is really robust, allowing for a huge array of user definable parameters. The system supports remote access from Windows, Android, and Apple platforms as well as configuration changes remotely. There are a large number of Reolink cameras for both indoors and outdoors available. With a wide range of power supplies like solar, electric, and battery. I recommend getting a NVR with the largest hard drive you can afford. The more cameras one adds the fewer days can be recorded before the system starts to overwrite older files. I replaced the 1 TB drive when I found with only 5 cameras added it would only record 4 1/2 days. This is a normal function of any kind of video recording. Video with audio takes more space than just video alone. By default audio is not recorded but is a option. The system also allows one to talk through a supported camera with the person you are seeing and hearing on the camera. And finally if you already have some cameras they "might" be able to be added to the system manually. I purchased the system to keep a eye on the home of my elderly parents. ... show more

  • Great product.
Great product. Wireless means network wires, it needs power so has power wires. Great to use great to put up. I just wish the description woulbe more helpful with 'comes with 4 cameras, and this is the model'.Can use up to 12 cameras but again you have to figure that you need to buy another 8 and which ones to buy. Itd be much simple to just bundle 8 cameras too. But overall very happy with it. I"m in the process of buying another 3 sets for more stores. that is if I can figure what cameras to get... ... show more

  • WiFi networking issues.
System setup was a breeze. I replaced an older REO link system because getting a replacement camera is difficult and expensive. I had a difficult time with remote access as the WiFi security was blocking me out. Anyway, after trying several thinks and 3 weeks later, I got it working. Much quicker access and very clear video. Happy now that its finally done!! ... show more

  • Weak signal...
I love the features and notifications settings, but I must say that the signal transmitted from the main unit into cameras are very weak. All outside cameras are less than a bar of strength. System is set up right in the middle of the house with equal lengths to all cameras. Signal is very weak. Even by trying to upgrade the antennas, the results were the same...P.s. memory is not 3T as mention. It's less then 1T. ... show more

  • Perfect system for family home
Reolink is a brand that I have used for years. This camera system is no exception. It is made very well and the camera image quality is improved over others in the market. The advantage of a home NVR system like this one is no monthly fees! Also doesn't require wifi in the home to record and keep the videos unlike others that require WIFI to operate. Now to view the cameras remotely WIFI is needed but that is with any other system. It has enough storage for about 30 days of footage. Cameras operate day and night and have good quality and the notifications are great. It also has a solid app compared to others. Perfect for a small family home! ... show more

  • Not wireless
Apparently wireless does not mean without wires. This setup has power and signal wires on every camera. WTF?

  • Clean picture quality and Easy to setup!
A couple things to keep in mind with this: 1) When you first set it up, you need to connect each camera to the NVR first with an ethernet cable before placing it where you want it. It needs to sync, then you can place it where you need. 2) Make sure to put the antennas on both your camera, and the NVR or they can't talk to each other very well killing the signal. 3) You still need power (like an outlet) to run these cameras. If you are coming from a system like Arlo, these don't have batteries. System Setup: This was mostly a breeze. First you connect the cameras, then go through setting up email alerts, and accounts, and finally setting up how you want to see the cameras on your display. This took all of 3 minutes for me. Camera Quality: Good and clear overall. Has night vision which works really well (I can easily see up to 20-30 feet inside of my garage). Keep in mind this is also VERY dependent on the signal the camera has. If the signal is bad, then the image will degrade. Make sure you plan where to place your cameras! Options: You actually have the option to connect 4 cameras via ethernet, or through WIFI which is a nice touch. I am unsure if these cameras are PoE capable. I would assume not, but I am using them wirelessly, so I couldn't test this. Overall: Honestly I have become a big fan of Reolink. This is my 2nd set of cameras from them, and they don't disappoint! ... show more
