These beds are heavy duty. It takes 2 if your doing stairs for sure. Well worth the effort. Unfold screw in the legs to the height you like and plug it in. Doesn't get easier. Remote is awesome as are the options. Raise and lower of course but this has massage a flashlight and under bed lighting so you can see the two usb ports. It just doesn't get any better. The 12" mattress is the bump. Not too firm or too soft. I purchased the full-size adjustable bed, and the 14" mattress with massage. Renanim thought of everything when designing this bed. First and foremost, it is so comfortable! I have had 3 back surgeries, and I have constant neck and back pain. Although my back problems still exist, I can say that I had a great night of sleep! The remote lights up and there is also a LED light at the tip of the remote along with underneath bed lighting, with 2 USB ports on each side. There are several different heights that you can choose for the bed. I decided to use the lowest height because I have a cat, and this will prevent her from going under the bed and playing with the electrical cords. I have attached the different height photos for you to see. Also, the massage is wonderful, and can be set for 10 minutes or 20 minutes for relieving neck, back and foot pain. It was worth the money! Also, customer service was fantastic! As soon as I purchased this bed, I received an email from Renanim informing me that the bed will come in 2 deliveries. Anne and Mary answered every question promptly and was more than happy to help. I would definitely recommend buying this bed and mattress to anyone of my friends. By the way, the headboard on this bed did not come with this purchase.

Base: Easy to assemble, but I had trouble opening the folded frame for some reason. I had to flip the frame to open and access the contents fully. After that, only had to screw on the legs, flip over, and plugin. The base is heavy, so if you don't have a second person, you might need a heavy object to brace against. Mattress: firm, but not so firm that none would have trouble getting up from the sides. In other words, you are not going to sink and struggle to get up. As for gel cooling, you may need a cooling pad. Personally, I like cool spots on the mattress. Remote: Adequate. Having a snore setting button would be nice, but there are programmable buttons. There is a flashlight, night light settings, and message settings for head and foot, all below the top settings that are easy to find. Overall: A good deal Thank you, my fellow Amazonians, for replying to my question. The base and mattress arrived separately.

Assembling everything was super simple! it basically was assembled in the box!! I don’t have much to complain about besides not having colored LED lights (or at least brighter ones). Now the mattress is different, i’ve owned quite a few memory foam mattresses and this is by far the worst. Over time you get used to it, but it’s still noticeable. The thickness is amazing, the stiffness is ok. It just doesn’t hug you enough

Not knowing what I was getting into, I bought this, my first adjustable bed! Two shipments with different shippers! WHAT????! A nightmare that should never happen again to anyone! UPS and FedEx! A combination that should never exist! UPS was a step up from FedEx. A lot of time passed and no REAL communication from the company, just scripted responses. I ended up investigating where my purchase was. FedEx Drivers don’t communicate at all. UPS does. I found my long overdue frame, at 9pm in a UPS distribution center, and drove there myself and picked it up. At least they loaded it for me! A week later I hunted down the mattress, sitting in a city far away, at a Kinko’s! Very professional Kinko’s employees helped me load that up, then I had to drive all the way back to my city. Finally after 3 more days, my “assembly project” was complete. The six legs for the sturdy frame were well made. I checked the 2 three-speed massage motors and they worked superbly. The mattress is so incredibly firm yet comfortable, considering it was in-a-box! So well made, it beats out every one of my top brand purchases in the past, at half their costs, even in the ‘ol box-springs days. Here’s the biggest part of this entire transaction: This company refunded me half the cost of my purchase, after I informed them of my situations, 3-4 times, -but before I was going to ask for a full refund, since I was going to have to shop again for a new one. Ugh! I hope a company that makes an outstanding product like this bed, realizes that service after the sale is equally important and valuable to customers! Please don’t use FedEx?!! Thank you for a great adjustable bed!

After my wife's injury, we needed an adjustable bed for her to sleep without pain. The Renanim full-sized adjustable with the 14" mattress was the one we selected and both arrived within the times selected. One of the features we needed was the different leg height combinations that allowed us to set the height of the bed that was comfortable for her to get in, and out of. Although we are old folks, we managed to unbox and setup the bed easily. Fortunately, we have a bedroom large enough to keep our king bed and the new adjustable bed side-by-side. She now sleeps soundly and pain free by having the head and leg elevations set for her comfort. Renanim also supplied, through a separate order, the proper headboard adapter which was the final piece we needed. Many thanks to their Customer Service. Our first adjustable bed and it has been a blessing.
