I got this for a Ruger American Predator rifle. Fitting it was easy. It seems like a good stock but I hav3 t had a chance to try it out yet. ( The range is closed for mud season, so I have to wait) I had read reviews that reported difficulty with magazines not inserting properly and not feeding rounds. So I haven’t fired it yet I cannot say that is not true. However,I did load various magazines with dummy rounds. Those cycled and fed just fine. So we shall see. ... show more

Stock fit good and feels good though it is kind of slippery out of the box. I do have a fairly big issue with it, when the bolt is locked closed it is impossible to push in a loaded mag or take one out with the release and when you unlock it about 30 degrees or more you can then get one in but it takes very excessive effort and same with the mag release ... show more

I had one that I bought, a slightly used return on Amazon. It didn’t fit, wouldn’t chamber rounds at all. So I sent it back. I called Ruger customer service and they gave me the part numbers to fit my Ruger Predator 2 in 6mm ARC. 1207 stock and 1208 mag insert for AR style Stanag magazines. . No joy. Returned for good. Back to my factory stock. Will keep looking. A shame too because the Magpul is a Bull!! Adds a little weight. Heard they well in other applications. ... show more

I swapped this stock out to replace the Ruger American factory stock. This stock is much stiffer and fits me perfectly. Easy to install and looks really good. I liked it so much I got a second one.

Installed this on my Ruger American 556 and doesn't allow the magazine to go in when the bolt is in. Also 1 out of every 3 to 5 rounds doesn't chamber. It took over two weeks for Magpul to respond and they said I would have to pay to ship it back to them, but no guarantee it will be fixed. Why would I spend more on something that doesn't work if they aren't sure they can fix it and won't replace it. I have been a big fan of Magpup products in the past, but will not buy from them ever again. Save yourself some money and heartache and avoid buying this stock. ... show more
