I replaced a large boiler with this little unit...as the large boiler was really overkill for my needs. I was very concerned that the amount of steam would not be sufficient for my needs, and even though it does not give the amount of steam that my old boiler did, it works pretty good. I like the fact that it is 110V instead of 220V. It really is a nifty little gadget, and so far has met my needs. I do worry a bit about whether it will last. I will update this if I have any problems, but for now I give it a four star rating and would recommend it to people who need a small to medium volume of high pressure dry steam. UPDATE: 12-30-12 After 3 years, this unit is still going strong. I have to say that I wholeheartedly recommend this unit to people who need moderate amounts of steam. As I said in my initial review, you will not get the steam power of a boiler, but to many that is just overkill. For what this is, it is well made and will last. You cannot go wrong here. Changing my rating to 5 stars.

I am a prosthodontist and have a lab in my office. Since I process dentures, wax up crowns, and do virtually all of my own labwork, I use the steamer a lot during the day. It heats up quickly and the wand makes it very easy to direct steam to exactly where I need it. It also allows for me to control the volume of steam from a thin spray for delicate dies to a heavy hot blast to clear wax off casts and instruments. Even with heavy use, one fill up will last me a good 2 days. The only omission I see in this model is the lack of a water gauge. Reliable includes a dipstick to check the water level, but it just seems cheap on a $700 piece of equipment. Overall, I am very happy with it and would recommend it to any dental clinic with a small to medium sized lab.

The steamer looks amazing. It looks like it will be around forever, but it stopped working soon after I received it. The customer service is not very good at Reliable. I got the run around from customer service when I called about the issue, but I finally did get an answer to fixing the steamer. In order to get the steamer to work, the end panel needs to be removed so a switch can be reset,. That requires removing 4 phillips head screws. Inside is a small electronic plastic switch that can be reset. After resetting this, the unit will heat up. The problem is that this will happen literally every day. It is so bad, that I now only replace one of the 4 screws. I will probably replace that with a plastic plug so I don't even have to unscrew the end. Between the unit and the lack of customer support, I highly recommend you buy something else.

There’s no water level shown. It only alerts u if it’s low . So if that light comes on in the middle of a service, then u have to shut off the machine wait for the pressure to release then fill it with water and turn it back on for the pressure to restore . ‼️Just put a window on it to view water levels . ‼️Also there’s no pressure adjusting lever or button. So u got one speed and it’s full blast .

We have been using it for 2 years and it hasn't worked properly for the last year. Leaks and doesn't last long at all. Too expensive for the quality.
