Accurate with my other thermometers in the house as a check. Nice readable display. Get the large ones. Changing the battery when necessary is a nice feature. I bought the six pack - half the units had loose batteries that I had to reinstall. There is a furnished screw driver to open the tiny screws. I like monitoring both frig and freezer temps to ensure they are not slowly warming past a point of no return. Rare, but no need to lose food. Also allows the proper setting of the "coldness" controls - I found I needed to crank them down a bit. 40F for frig F for freezer.

When my old fridge died, I did not notice right away. Looking back, it was not keeping food cold enough for a few days before the temperature got high enough that we could tell. No one got food poisoning fortunately, but it was a good lesson on how easy it is to not realize when the fridge is at an unsafe temperature, so I got this and put it in my new fridge. It's mostly just for reassurance, but it also showed me that the recommended dial setting on my fridge was actually warmer than food safety sources recommend. I'm glad I have it. It's easy to read and in addition to the current temperature, it also shows the warmest temperature since you last reset it, so you can tell how warm it got if the fridge was unplugged or the door was open for a while.

I bought this a few months back for my "garage fridge" because although I'm rich enough to have a garage fridge, I'm still pretty poor and it's like a 1977 model I bought from an old neighbor. I could tell she was getting slower in her old age. We called the fridge Rita after the neighbor we got her from. Anyway, I had overpurchased pork Butt on sale. Like 40lbs for $60, and I didn't have room in my freezer for all of it. Plus after you freeze a 14lb pork butt it takes 1000 years to defrost and cook it. So anyway long story short (too late now!) It went in Rita with my extra milk and 4 dozen eggs, 2 packs of butter, and about 6 bottles of wine I'll never drink. We are in and out of that fridge every day so we have been monitoring the temp with this little beauty. I was able to save all my "extra" groceries by knowing not only the current temp of the fridge, but the highest it had got since I pushed reset. Literally this $10 purchase saved me about $80. And I still have the thermometer!

An RV fridge is small and you don't want to take up a lot of room. These are perfect. They hook on the shelves easily and do a great job. They last about 4 years before you need to replace them..

Put this in my deep freeze, and used it to set the temperature dial correctly so it keeps things at 0 degrees. No complaints, it just hangs in there and does its job.

I bought two of these and set them right next to another digital thermometer I have. These two were about 1 degree off from each other, with my existing one landing right in the middle between their readings. I don't know what is correct, but I think it shows that you buy these for the price, not the accuracy. That will be close enough for what I want from them, so I'm happy.
