This is a great little manual treadmill for kids (of appropriate age)! It is solidly made of metal, and I've been very impressed. I had one little "glitch" and that was that one of the only plastic pieces broke (the belt adjuster) but I was able to fix that by running to the hardware store and getting a washer to hold the tension screw... so far, so good... and I placed the plastic cap back on, so it looks like nothing ever happened. As far as other reviewers with the smell... I believe that is just ridiculous. *Of course* there is a smell at first, it would be silly of anyone to expect it not to! It has metal gears and and belt that moves, it HAS to have a lubricant put on the internal gears, or it would rust and fall apart (since it is made of SOLID metal gears and welded metal tubes!). It would be useful to adults considering purchasing this to use some common sense, if your family can't tolerate smells for a few days, put it in the garage or a room with open windows. We put it in the garage for about 3 days and completely got rid of any odors for us before we brought it inside... but it was definitely the smell of gear lubricant (if you've ever smelled it, you know EXACTLY what it is --no mystery here). As for some reviewers stating that it's not safe, I'd have to say their child must have been too young (be it physically or mentally). All children progress at their own pace, but I can say this, I own an adult treadmill, and my child was constantly trying to walk/run on it... to the point that he would get on and manually "make" it run, (yes, he is that strong, lol!) even though it was unplugged. Now that is unsafe, and this little treadmill fixed that problem completely. Now he knows he has his own treadmill, I explained to him that I weight too much to walk on his, and he doesn't weigh enough to walk on mine --and he completely understood. ;) It's working out great, and WE are working out together!!! It's awesome to look over and see your little boy walking with you! ... show more

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson who had wanted a “tread wheel” since last Xmas it made his Xmas and he still runs on it. Maybe he’ll continue on the fitness road. It was missing parts but after contacting the company they sent us what we needed and it turned out to be pretty sturdy I would recommend it doesn’t take up a lot of room and the padding is extra protection ... show more

To be honest, she loves it like her favorite jungle gym. She does get on it and try to emulate Mommy on the real thing. It is a toy, but it's a really good toy that lets her pretend. She also loves to put her dolls on the tread and run them back and forth. A fun toy. I was very relieved to find there were no sharp edges on the one we got. It's stable too. The only negative is that the tread is not really easy to walk on, it took her about a week to figure it out and actually use it as a treadmill, but once she did, she was getting on it constantly. Assembly had some challenges in getting the lower screws in. We managed, but plan some difficulty in getting them in (you should have a really good phillips to augment what they provide with it, that helps a lot). ... show more

Looks okay...built heavy...but none of the bolts or screws were the correct size...there are only 8 screws and 4 bolts....took almost 2 hours to force them into the holes that were cut too small... it's been another 45 minutes and the final bolt still isn't in...anger isn't even a strong enough word for my emotions right now ... show more

I was shocked that they really make a Tread Mill for kids. I have a granddaughter that asked for one for her birthday because her parents work out all the time and she wasn't allowed on the big one. She wanted to work out with them. Was shocked that they will actually make one. I ordered it and on the first one the box looked like it had been ran over, and the plastic parts on it were broke, I contacted Amazon they immediately sent a new one and a label to return the broken one. The new one arrived in time we assembled it and was it cute. It was the hit of the birthday party for sure her 3 year old brother loves it just as much, please realize my granddaughter is very small for her age. She makes it go so fast it was like watching a hamster on a wheel we were all cracking up. My daughter in law was shocked that they really make such an item as well. I Have been a faithful buyer from Amazon, and i love shopping with Amazon and have never ever been disapointed!! and encourage others to shop with you as wee. and they do. So i needed to take the time to tell you about one of the products i purchased recently, Redmon Fun and Fitness Exercise Equipment for Kids - Tread Mill . DONT BUY THIS... I was so disapointed, The belt does not roll properly, there is a dredful,toxic chemical smell on the treadmill that has consumed our house,. At first i thought well once i put it together and sudwash it down it should go away, we did not realize we had got use to the smell while putting it together, when leaving the house to go get dinner came home and could not breath in our own home, we were really overwhelmed, to tired to take it down, covered it with two sheets and a comforter, and we could still smell it.... I cannot wait until UPS comes a get that toxic chemical smelling treadmill out of our house tomrw,. Its in the cushion that covers the steel bars,and when my son tries to walk even run its to hard for the child to rotate the belt.By him being a driven five year old who wants to be able to do so he fell hard a coulple of times so then it became Dangerous AND Toxic,. this is soppse to be for kids??? And i also felt bad because i had to explain to him the Mommy had to send something he wanted so bad back, also mad because i let him breath in that crap before realizing how Toxic the smell was..TWO THUMBS DOWN.... Dear Amazon. DO NOT BUY AND SELL FROM THIS COMPANY ANYMORE PLEASE,. ps it looks like i gave it one star, i didn't, i just could not erase that. ... show more
