I got this product as a temporary solution, since I don’t have the time or the money to go to my hair stylist currently. I love my hair red but it is a lot to maintain and with my current root growth and color fading I needed something so I can go the next few months not looking like a complete wack-a-doo. This product did exactly as described, I knew that my roots where not going to pick up the color and still would be slightly different shade, but my hair is now similar enough I can go to a job interview and not look silly. The process was easy, the bottle tip made it quite easy to use and distribute throughout. Additionally, there was no burning or bad smell, it actually left my hair pretty soft but that also is due to just going darker. Additionally, the warm brown did the exact outcome I was hoping for on my fading copper. For my hair length, (about to my armpit) it took about half the bottle, which I am quite happy about bc many companies don't give you enough product for even one use. It says to wrap in plastic and apply heat for 15mins but I do not have a blow dryer so I just wrapped in a trash bag and left in for 30mins and it still worked very well! This product is more than worth the price and is a great option for anyone with a budget and looking to not damage their hair extensively. ... show more

Did not even remotely cover gray hairstyles. In fact I think the grays are brighter than they were before I used this. The color change is negligible. I used it 3 times and tried leaving it in for an hour this last time. No improvement. I'm not sure what the purpose would be for anyone to use this. It does nothing ... show more

I bought this, just as an experiment to see if I liked being a dark brunette before I actually did it permanently. I am pretty familiar with using hair stains and this worked just about how I expected. I have found that hair stain does not stick to virgin hair very well so my roots washed out pretty quickly. For some reason Amazon is not filtering reviews on this product based on color, so to be clear, this is a review for the Kiss "dark warm brown" color. My daughter has light brown hair that she bleached and she was not pleased with the bleached look. She first tried the John Frieda glaze and it burned her scalp and skin even though she is not sensitive. This Kiss brand seems much like the Arctic Fox brand but Kiss has a normal brown color option, which Arctic Fox does not. She left it on damp hair for 1 hour and it fully covered the blond and blended with her light brown roots. It did saturate the ends to the same color as the roots, so it does not exactly look natural, since almost everyone has lighter ends than roots, but she is happy with the results. It has not faded over 3 washes. She has very thick, below-shoulder hair, bit only had tobuse about 1/3 of the bottle. The Kiss brand seems very gentle; she had no irritation on scalp or other skin even though she left it on 1 hour. ... show more

Did absolutely nothing to red hair. Usually I get at least a little bit of color, maybe not the whole thing understandably. This was zero and I left it on super long, heat treated. So I wouldn’t recommend for red hair, but it does smell ok and my hair seems soft.
