Incredible pellet smoker - I've used it most of the summer and it works flawlessly. The app is great - being able to monitor the temp of the grill and the food is awesome. The only complaint about the app is that it does not have an alarm to tell you when the meat is done. It only informs you on the screen. So if I need an alarm, I use my kitchen alarm and app in the meat. I did have trouble connecting with the app because the grill is on the deck, but I bought a wifi extender and it solved the problem. I bought the extra shelf accessory from recteq and it was well worth the money. Super sturdy and install takes about 5 minutes.

I was very skeptical about not only spending over 800 dollars on a grill, but buying one from an online only company where I was unable to physically see the grill in person, usually I stay away from stuff like that. I expected it to take at least a week to arrive but I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and it was here by Friday morning. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to assemble the thing since I am very mechanically declined but the thing was a piece of cake even though I put the legs on backwards at first, make sure the holes on the legs line up inside so you can attach the shelf. Overall this thing is a great grill, what sold me on it were the stainless steel everything and the ceramic ignition. I've owned one pellet grill in my life and I cheaped out and got a 300 dollar smoker that died within a year, so hopefully this thing lasts me a decade because its not cheap.

If you want to constantly take your smoker apart and have it jam up then this is the smoker for you. No matter what pellets I use it jams. I have to constantly keep an eye on it, in case the auger stops. I leave the covers around the auger mower off in case i have to pull it out. Usually i can pull everything off and help the auger brake free with some channel locks but not always. All this money to constantly be messing with it. I’ve used different pellets. I keep my pellets inside. I even shop vac the old pellets out after each use.

I got this for my husband’s birthday. He loved it! He loves that it heats up fast and holds its temperature. Awesome for cooking steaks. Seemed a lot easier to assemble than the Traeger he had before. I love the aesthetic of it. Black with stainless. It has horns for the handles! What can I say? We live in Texas.
