I was sent a defective basket. The T bar must have been welded incorrectly because it is physically impossible to line up the holes, they are on the top and bottom instead of the sides. There is also no instruction on how to affix the basket to the frame. Luckily it wasn’t too hard to figure out. Would not recommend this product at all. ... show more

I needed the basket this big but it doesn’t fit all scooters. Will need to drill some holes in order to be able to fit the basket.

I really like this a lot. It's going to give me so much more carry space on my scooter. On a recent outing with my granddaughter, a friend, and her mother, the front basket on my Golden Companion scooter just wasn't big enough to carry everything we brought, so I decided I needed a rear basket. This one is roomy, folds up almost completely out of the way when not in use, and is at a nice price point compared to the name brands. Assembly was easy, and requires only a large Philips screwdriver for initial assembly. After that, you just push it into the receiver on the back of your chair and secure with a (provided) clevis pin (or, in the case of the Golden Companion, the knurled knob that came with the scooter) and then fold out. I plan to just leave it on and folded up, but it's easy to remove if you need to. (Note: If you lost your knob for a similar Golden scooter, look for a 5/16-24 x 1" knob here on Amazon.) This basket is very roomy, holding two reusable shopping bags that can bulge a bit, so I'll be using it a lot more as my health declines and I need the scooter to go shopping. It's kinda thin wire mesh, but this basket shouldn't be used for anything exceptionally heavy, anyway, given how it sticks out the back and would upset the balance if overloaded, potentially lifting the front wheel(s) off the ground. But it will be fine with a gallon of milk and some canned goods, though I recommend you keep those toward the front just to be safe. The pictures show the basket ready for use, folded up, and with two shopping bags in it. As you can see, it sticks quite a bit out the back when in use, so keep that in mind when maneuvering your scooter or swiveling the seat. In either position, there is even a bit of reflective tape to aid in rear visibility. ... show more

I ordered this basket for my brother's mobility scooter. He had been wanting a basket like this for quite a while. He has a small basket on the front but there are times that just wasn't big enough. He is not able to drive anymore and if I am not where I can drive him, he uses his scooter to get to our little store a couple miles away. Lol, when he was going to pick me up a couple 2 liter sodas, it was not an easy fit in his little basket. Plus that basket is plastic and this metal basket is much more durable. He is so excited that come spring he can load his tackle box in it and head down our road to the lake we live close to. I love this little basket! I requested it because my husband and I rent mobility scooters when we go to amusement parks and this little basket is awesome for the parks. It gives extra space for our things without a big hassle. Security has no problem going through it and it is compact enough that it doesn't get in the way too much while puttering about the parks. It gives us the ability to bring a couple blankets, extra water, and anything else we might need, without overburdening the baskets on the front of the scooters.
