This enabled me to stop using my floor as a shelf lol. My room looks much less crowded. I can now take a better inventory of what books I have in order to keep/sell. The shelf gives me a peace of mind.

What I was mainly looking for was a metal cubical rack exactly like this but made out of a metal material like aluminum. That's not what you're getting here. I got it because I wanted a small, cheaper alternative to a bookshelf, and this works for that, but make sure you're putting you're heaviest books on the bottom. They're durable enough and maybe they're better for storing your clothes or linens or even for statuettes or something you'd like to display, but don't put anything too expensive, it could fall through if it's too heavy. I haven't experienced that myself, but I can see the plastic eventually giving way. If you just need something temporary, it's perfect. It gets the job done. But don't be expecting anything 1000% sturdy or durable. It's just not that. If you're looking for sturdiness or durability, go ahead and look for something else. It may be double the price, but you'll find it's more durable. As far as sturdiness goes, I have it on carpet with books in every slot and it hasn't fallen or anything just yet. I'm hoping it won't fall away or fall through though. I've had it maybe a month or two and so far so good so I'll give them that. It really isn't bad! Purchased for my teen daughter. She hasn't broke it. She is ruff on things. I love it I keep things organized and off her floor. I would like to get more later on for other rooms in my home. It's a great buy.
