  • Maintains pool at 94 F without an issue.
This heat pump works like a charm. Great value for money. Easy to install. Very quiet during operation. It raises my 3000 gallons pool temperature by 1 degrees per hour even when air temperature is 51-52 F. Even with air temperature ranging from 50s to 90 in Western Washington, it maintains 90-94 F (Yes, Ninty Four) pool temperature without any issues. The heater works well with Smart Life - Smart Living android app by Volcano Technology Limited. Wi-Fi connection allows the heat pump to be controlled remotely. The app allows automation, settings heat/cool/auto mode, temperature adjustment, and turning on/off the heat pump. The heating system turns off automatically whenever it detects low water flow. I control the water pump based on air temperature and pool water temperature which automats the pool heating. ... show more

  • Amazing heater! 50% off MSRP! Nothing more to say!
Amazing heater! Keeps the water nice and warm for next to nothing with ambient temps down in the 50s on a 10,000 gallon pool. My buddy is a technician and opened it up during install, he was amazed at the build quality and its got a titanium heat exchanger. Best part, the price, 40% cheaper than the competition from a super reputable brand and half the price of MSRP here on Amazon. Not sure how they do it, but this thing is a STEAL! ... show more

  • Don’t buy this
Don't buy this!!! The company is very irresponsible. The heater never worked after multiple back and forth with the company they ask me to get a random electrician to see what is wrong with the system. I couldn’t find anyone that knew how to deal with it because it was a system malfunction not an electrical problem. I spent weeks trying to get anyone to help. I even called Amazon insurance that I had paid for and they told me it was the heater company’s responsibility since it was still under warranty. The heater company said the Couldn’t help me with a statement from an electrician that they couldn’t fix it. At the end I paid one thousand dollars for a heater that never worked I can’t return it and nobody can fix it. Just avoid this at all cost. ... show more

  • Love this unit!
The installation was easy and this unit has performed well. It has increased our pool usage 3 fold and I am excited about it extending our open time, as it can stay chilly into the beginning of summer and come early in the fall. The ability to add it to my wireless network and manage it with the rest of my home is very handy. I am able to schedule turning it on and off along with the pool pump is great. It is a heat pump model, so the time it takes to heat up is longer but I expected that. I knew I was going for efficiency and in that area this delivers. It is whisper quiet and the nearby pool pump drowns any sound out. I highly recommend scoping appropriate size and adding this to you pool setup. Very happy family and glad I made this investment. ... show more

  • Great so far - Has warmed up to 85f already even with an ambient air temperature of 50-60f
Early days as I just completed install January 2026. First run - went from 47f to 70f in about 2 days with an ambient air temperature between 45 and 52f, this week ran for 5 days and went from 52f to 85f with an ambient air temperature between 50-60f. It really starts gaining momentum and raises fast from 65 to 85f - Impressed so far. I dont have an estimate on daily costs yet, but should have that after we get our February bill. Install was easy. I had an electrician run cable from our mains supply with a new 15amp, 220v line, then I hooked up a whip cable from the junction box to the heater (please note, I am not an electrician but did take a year of electrical engineering at college and have finished 2 basements from scratch). I then completed all the plumbing, this took long than planned as I had to move my sand filter over to make room for the heater. I made sure I plumbed in valves to bypass the heater if needed. If I had planned ahead (less trips to Ace), I could probably have had the whole thing plumbed and hooked up in one day with a total of about 4 hours work. I forgot to get an outdoor junction box and the conduit/whip I originally bought was annoyingly 6 inches too short. Also had to run out and get a few more PVC elbows etc. ... show more

  • I am impressed.
I am very impressed with this small but mighty heat pump. It has done an amazing job of helping raise the temperature of my 8,500-gallon inground pool from ~48 degrees to ~81 degrees in roughly 7 days in February. The average ambient air temperature in Oklahoma City over that timeframe was around 55 to 60 degrees with daily highs in the mid-60s to low 70s. I do have a solar cover on the pool as well to retain the heat overnight. The heat pump was super simple to install, especially if you already have a pool panel with 220v available. I like that it only uses 12 Amps unlike other larger heat pumps requiring as much as 30 or 40 amps. I had a couple of empty 20 amp 220v breakers in my pool panel already, so I did not have to run a new 220v line back to the main panel. Once I connected it to the pool pump/filter system and ran the power, it fired right up and got to work. I am confident that this small but mighty unit will be able to extend our pool season into late October or even further, and will allow us to open the pool in March or even earlier. ... show more

  • Wont keep up or raise temperature
It's quite and looks good but it won't even hold the temp on a 24ft aboveground let alone raise it. Its running as hard as it can but can't keep up. My electric rate in ohio is $.15041 per kwh and this costs me $5.98 a day to run when it's heating all day long. Just checked this morning and I lost 2 degrees last night so it's not worth the money for me to run it here. ... show more

  • FYI: No Warranty, that's why it's cheaper.
I got mine a little over a year ago, used it for a month while it was cold. Now a new season and its low pressure sensor is bad (E2 error). The local RayPak service guys contacted the manufacture and confirmed what others are saying here. These units were sold at auction or by other means without any warranty what-so-ever. In my case, I can jumper the board contacts for the refrigerant sensor and it will work okay for my needs this season. But buyer needs to be aware you have no manufacture warranty. ... show more
