I was leery of buying a pool heater because of the cost and the fact that they all seem to be made in China. I finally bought this pool heater from AquaStrong, because of all the good reviews as far as customer support and their three year warranty. OMG! This company has the best support I’ve ever experienced. They responded to every single email question I could throw at them with good information. Furthermore, I got it installed like they said and plugged it in, and it took off like a dream, no functionality problems whatsoever. At first, I was concerned my HEX035 unit wouldn’t do the job for my 8000 gallon pool. However, overtime it got the water up to a nice comfortable 87°. If you are interested in a inverter/heat pump pool heater I cannot recommend this company enough. The unit seems durable, easy to use and again customer service was remarkable!

I purchased the HEX035 and noticed some issues with the fan. It seemed to shake a lot and make a rattling noise. I contacted the manufacturer. They were very fast to follow up with me. They gave a few suggestions which I preformed for them. However, the issues with the unit weren’t solved. They contacted me last night and old me they are sending me a replacement unit. Have to say, even with the issues. These folks really took the time to make things right.

So far the unit is heating as it should after we got it going. Our first unit came in the display was cracked and got water in it and did it work. The second replacement unit came rather quickly and we got it hooked up, but it continually trips our GFCI breaker. The electrician that connected it says it’s common for HVAC units to do this and the only way we can run It is to not have it connected to the GFCI which obviously it’s not good. I’ve emailed the company because there’s no phone numbers to call…..That’s the reason for the four star rating as of now is heating well. I’ll update rating as time goes, but it’s very quiet bad Seems to be very efficient and heats quickly. We have a 17,000 gallon in ground fiberglass pool and heating has increased it by 10° in about 10 hours.

So far this has been a terrible purchase. The instructions are really incomplete as you'll see in the photos. Product was delivered quickly, however the packaging was a bit torn at the bottom. When unpacking, I noticed that there was now power cable even thought mine is a HEX035 and rated for 120v. To add to the confusion, the instructions tell you to "plug in" the power cable, but one is apparently not provided according to their support. Their support is a day slow to respond, so don't expect quick response or live help. After 3 more days, I received a "complimentary" power cable, but then as I go back to reference instructions it doesn't tell you what terminals to connect to, not is there enough wiring to power the different terminals. Very confusing. I'll give them another shot to support me as I've sent the attached photos to them asking for guidance. If anyone has experience hooking this up, please let me know. Thanks!

This product was very easy to install and far less expensive than others. Additional one year warranty with product registration or replacement. I could not find a better warranty. I had previously purchased an Armstrong pool pump and was totally satisfied with the product and customer support. This 35,000btu inverter heat pump has only been running for a few days but appears to be working exceptionally well. The wi-fi interface made start up fast and easy. I already had the Tuya app to control my pool lights so the heat pump identified my network through smart connect and added it to my app. Temperature control, start, stop, frequency, refrigerant pressures and full diagnostic info available on my phone from anywhere! Exceptionally quiet! I wasn’t sure the unit was running until I seen the fan spinning. In the coming months I will be excited to see my electric bill because of the high COP of this unit.

This heat pump is fantastic! I bought to replace the one I had that went bad from another manufacturer and too costly to repair. This was cheaper than repairing the old one. It came in 2 days via Prime with free shipping. While the heater is heavy, it was a very simple install. It comes with a clear to read manual and three different connection types to choose from. It also has a drain port for winterizing which will be super quick and easy come the Fall. What is amazing is how quick it heated up my pool in just 24 hours. After I got it started the water was 64 degrees. 24 hours later...79!! That is incredible. The unit has a COP of 15.2 which is super high. So I can heat the pool quicker and cheaper. It has a very nice crisp touch screen display on the unit and also has a easy app to set temps and such from anywhere. Highly recommend this heat pump!
