I'm good at sewing, so I'll cut it shorter and hem it to the appropriate length, but only after I wash and dry it, because other reviewers nite there is some shrinkage. I do like these curtains, but one was shorter than the other so I put one in the drying and it shrunk up a couple inches. I ended up drying both and they are almost the same length now. I let them lay on the floor about a 3/4 inchs so you can't see the difference much. But the color is spot on, material is nice and they look great up. ... show more

I just ordered these for the bedroom, after having purchased a different set for the living room. I had actually been looking at these as an option for the living room, but, as these are labeled "room darkening", I didn't want to make the living room too dark. Now I wish I had purchased these for the living room as well - they're so much nicer than what I have there now. They lean more towards light filtering than room darkening, which I'm fine with. The style and fabric is exactly what I had been looking for. They are a steal for the quality of the curtain - you'd think they were more expensive. They drape nicely and are not stiff. They arrive creased from being folded in the package, but the creases come out well with ironing or steaming. I'm going to buy another set for the living room to swap out what's there. ... show more

Nice curtains, just as described, good quality, made in India. No chemical smell, 100% cotton. I machine washed & tumble dried before hanging. Very little shrinkage, some wrinkling. Cotton usually shrinks to some degree. I ironed and hung. They hang nicely. Slightly on the heavy side. They're opaque, not black out & not sheer. You can see the bright glare of a light bulb fixture at night thru the curtains but nothing else. Provides privacy which is very important to me. My bedroom window faces the street.
