  • Solid and Tough
Color: Green 6x7 Ft
We didn't want to buy an expensive awning set up with the difficulty of setting up and taking down for our type of "Tear Drop" trailer with roof rack. So we rigged a Rottay Tarp onto our roof rack for first 2 outings. Put fasteners with quick clips on roof rods within spacing of Rottay gromments and 2 poles at other end with tightly held guy lines in ground for support. Crazy wind came up as we watched the tarp straining, yet holding true. We figured we'd test it, even if it ripped. Other campers with full on electric awnings already pulled theirs in. All's we had to do in emergency, if had too, was to drop poles and simply unhook from roof rack. We never had to do that. (We did drop poles to ground and unhook when night came though) Easy. Second trip we didnt notice any stretching, rips, or fatigue in tarp. With same conditions. Not wanting to ruin a good thing. We'll take it down earlier with high winds. We are impressed by quality with our test..so far. Update: Next camp outing. Hard rain and wind. Rain did not saturate the Rottay at all. Totally dry underneath. Amazing that when we packed up, the tarp was still as good as new. Update again..camping recently in mountains. A 3 hour storm of heavy rain, wind and "HAIL" pounding down on Rottay in scary craziness. That dang Rottay tarp unscatched. We had it tightly held on all sides. This is a freak tarp of Nature. Sooner or later it has to give up? ... show more

  • Worth it!
Color: Green 10x10 Ft
After years of using tarps as ground cloths, I was so tired of trying to fold them up and fold them in the right direction to keep water from getting in, packing and refolding huge swaths of wet tarp material, ugh . When we bought a new tent, I decided I was going to spend the money on a footprint that matched the tent size and I am so glad I did. This is very nice material, the edges are well sewn with grommets in the corners and loops in the middle. It's easy to fold back up and fit inside the included carrying bag, dries fast and is very lightweight. It does a great job as a ground cloth but I'm sure it's incredibly versatile. It was strong enough to withstand large, stiff stems in a bushwhacked area of a friend's yard that punctured another tent's flooring. ... show more

  • Waterproof and lightweight.
Color: Green 6x7 Ft
For full transparency, I purchased this tarp for a use outside of the intended use. I am using this as a roof over my backyard duck run. Firstly, this tarp is absolutely waterproof. So much so that I had to modify my roof design a bit. Initially, I just had it laying flat over the pen. I quickly realized that the tarp would collect and hold water very well. So, I had to raise up one end so rainwater could run off. The tarp seems to be very durable and strong. I have mine secured with zip-ties and it has gone through several summer storms with high winds without any damage. The seams are constructed solidly. The only potential issue that I have found is that the sun is fading the color quicker than I expected. I have had it up for a little over a month now. I haven't seen any degradation in strength yet though. At this price though, even if I do need to replace it once every 1-2 years, that isn't a big deal. Again, I'm using mine as a permanent installation. Occasional use as a camping tarp or sunshade would not be a problem at all. So, really only a consideration if you are looking to use this as something more permanent. ... show more

  • Holds up well in the rain!
I bought this product and immediately tore part of it, due to my own stupidity. They gladly replaced it and sent a new one. The first time I took it out to use it for real was a 3 day trip in the rain and this thing did amazing! It didn’t leak at all and the winds did not pull this away and send it flying like a parachute. I’ve used it multiple times since then and have not had any sort of issues. I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Nice camping tarp for the money
Color: Green 10x10 Ft
Decided to get a tarp that matches the footprint of my tent. Amazon came to the rescue with this value priced tarp. Works perfectly with the grommets as the obvious places. It's compact and folds well into it's pouch so it saves space in the van when we go camping. I recommend.

  • Stitched well; quality waterproof material
Color: Blue 6x7 Ft
I originally purchased this for a rain fly… repurposed a child’s 3 opening play dome tent indoor/outdoor REPURPOSED for our indoor/outdoor senior cat. Rescued from a non-caring household down the street; he’ll live out his senior years with us. He never leaves our yard. I found this child’s play tent with 3 openings ideal for him thru summer and fall. Mesh top fir airflow - no rain fly - had to find something for those pop up showers here. This 6x7 Rain Fly I ordered is too short, does not cover all sides. UPDATE: FOUND ANOTHER USE FOR THIS RAIN FLY… pics attached for this stray cat that comes here practically every day. Light weight, double stitched, made very well. Versatile for many uses, rain beads up and rolls off.. Satisfied with purchase. ... show more

  • Reasonable Price
The media could not be loaded. The tarp I purchased was a little too small (8x7) to use for rain coverage; however, I will definitely use the tarp I bought as a footprint and will be ordering a larger one to use for rain coverage when camping. I love the orange. This tarp is durable and packs up easily. I am a fan of shopping at REI and Kelty, but this company offers way better price points for this type of camping gear. ... show more
