Sturdy hose with solid brass connectors. Strain relief is rigid enough to support the hose at connections, and the 3' hose I received is supple so that I could easily connect it to itself for storage. I will replace the rubber washer with a nylon one when I use this hose. I did not expect it to be supplied as such, and never do with any garden hose equipment. But I recommend it as an aftermarket upgrade to save you headache later on ;-) Also- the package came with teflon tape. I'm always happy to have some teflon tape, but the listing doesn't mention it and it is of no use to a garden hose. Note: the short hose I received has a different female connector/ strain relief construction than is shown in the current video for this item. THAT is FINE! I really do not like to have to depend on a piece of plastic to turn a brass fitting onto a hose bib- it seems like an opportunity for a failure, and my experience with hoses built like that are that the hose has to be free of any bend through the strain relief for it to swivel freely, and that is just annoying. If you are looking for that because you think it'll make your life easier, perhaps check with the manufacturer before ordering. If you understand that it won't make your life easier, maybe still check with them to make sure they are building the hose as pictured, rather than as presented in their video. 1: Why do we want it? To connect to a hose reel as a leader hose. 2: Unboxing: Comes in a box. 3: Instructions: Full instructions with washers and teflon. 5 year warranty. 4: Install: Use the teflon and thread it into place! 5: In Action: We have another of this brand in green. For some reason the black one seems a little more heavy duty. 5 year warranty once you register. It seems to be as good as an expensive top brand we use as a lead on another spigot, which has been going strong for years. So we expect this one will also last. They really go overboard with warranty and customer service, which is a good sign. Pros: Sturdy hose. No leaks. Cons: None.

I got this hose to be a feeder hose to my deck from the bib outside my fence. For my application, it doesn’t matter whether or not the hose gets stiff in cold weather; it does. I had this hose in my climate-controller laundry room, and it was flexible and limp. The weather in Indy is in the teens and single digits, so I put the hose outside for about an hour. When I retrieved it, I held it at one end of the loops and the whole hose stood erect. After a few hours back in the laundry room, when I tried the same test, the hose fell limp. As I said before, acting as a feeder hose, this does no concern me. If I was going to be using it as my primary hose, I would be disheartened; however, this result is expected from a PVC hose. Some may say that I can’t use a hose if the temps are so low that water freezes, and you’d be right. I can use a hose when the temps are in the 40s and 50s, though, and this and any PVC hose will be stiff! That said, the ends of the hose are quality brass and the female end has enough girth that it gives something to be able to hold, instead of there just being a thin coupler. The hose came with extra gaskets and sealing tape. The walls of the hose are thicker than many I’ve seen at this price point. If you live in a warmer climate, this hose will make a great all-around hose. If you live where the temps get below the 50s, and you want a hose that will stay supple, you might be disappointed.

This product is a garden hose only it is very short. It is only three feet long and I selected this product to connect my hose connection to a hose reel-type product that has its own hose connection with a valve. That reel-type product is placed into the ground and is designed to allow the user to coil a long (normal length) hose onto the reel for use in the yard. This product is a well-made section of hose that has very well-made copper-plated aluminum connections. The product comes with the proper washers to ensure a leak-free connection and it is a very tough hose product having a 4-layer construction. It has stress-relief overlays added to each end to ensure that the connection does not kink. This product is exactly what I needed to install my reel-type product next to the hose connection in the yard. I am happy with this product.

Seems to be good quality. The hose material is soft and flexible, but seems reinforced internally. (You can see fiber lining marks under the outer layer) You may need a wrench to get the hose attached, as the strain relief spins, and may be hard to grip the ends to tighten. I normally hand tighten, and that's enough, so if you use a wrench, use only enough pressure to snugly tighten - don't aggressively tighten. Inside the package, there is indication of 1 year warranty on its own, and 5 years if you register the product. Hopefully this indicates the quality level of the manufacture, and the company standing by the quality. Comes with extra hose washers and teflon tape for the threads.
