We used this as an added run to our chicken house. It took two of us a few days to complete it, but we are older and can't work as fast as you youngsters! It is very sturdy, and we have had no issues with it in the month we've had it up. We were able to complete this project easily and our chickens now have space to run around! Pros: Frame was easy to put together for the most part. Plenty of Hardwire cloth. Wish it said more about how much to over lap. Cons: instructions could be better, & I needed more zip ties than what was included. for example; It says to add corner braces after wrapping with hardwire cloth. I would do it before since it's impossible after. Mine still does not have the corner braces. Hardwire cloth would have been easier to work with if cut and wrapped up in say one roll for wrapping around the base, and several rolls for over the top ect. ... show more

    • Very light gauge "hardware cloth"

Overall an OK chicken run. Very light gauge wire adequate for someone's backyard chickens. Frame is easy to assemble and slightly more sturdy than others I've seen. The "stakes" to secure the run to the ground are a joke, just little wires. Made some more substantial stakes out of rebar that I could drive a little over 15" deep. We live in the OK panhandle and regularly have high winds, didn't want the chickens pen to fly away. Used stainless steel zip ties to assemble but the package included had plenty of green plastic ones. The tarp supplied is pretty nice. Provides good cover for the poultry, but I'm afraid if I leave it on that the whole run will be destroyed in the next storm. We needed a temporary place to put young chickens until the chicken house is finished, this should work fine as long as the wind doesn't tear it up. If it survives a couple months I'll disassemble it and save it for the next batch of chicks. ... show more

We got this as an adjunct to our chicken coop, and it works just fine. Putting together the frame was a snap, took 15 minutes. Installing the wire netting was a different story. One person could probably do it but it would take all day. With two people, we finished in a couple of hours. Other reviewers have said that they weren't given enough wire netting to complete the job but we had more than enough - we even had some netting left over. It's heavy enough so that it keeps our dogs out of the chicken run, but light enough that 1 strong person can lift it from the middle and move it. ... show more

This was relatively easy to put together, only difficult part is the roof and door. If your using for chickens you will need to overlap part of the door to keep gaps covered which makes the door slightly harder to open.
