When we ordered this I expected it to be good to use with my kids and the adults in the house. The rake is very tall with all sections attached. To reduce the size I expected to be able to slide adjust the height, but this is done by removing a section. So if you want to shorten it you have to remove a piece and store it. To increase the height you have to unscrew the sections, add the other section back, then complete the rest of the assembly. Is this difficult? No. Is it a pain? Yes. The Rake seems sturdy once put together and will work well. But doesn't adjust as I was hoping. ... show more

I was simply delighted when I opened the package for the Coopvivi garden leaf rake. The head of the rake and the 17-tines are exceedingly heavy duty. Since I have a tendency to leave my rakes outside overnight the stainless-steel head won’t rust from morning dew. The adjustable length of the handle is a definite plus, because my husband is 10-inches taller than I am. Also, it will be easy to transport in my garden cart. All I have to do is unscrew the sections of the handle and put the short sections in the garden cart. The head on this leaf rake is VERY heavy duty with sharp metal tines. Will be good for projects where you're looking to dig up the ground. The rake fully assembled is also very tall - almost as tall as me (5'11"). That's adjustable though of course given the several handle pieces. Taking off one star, however, because like most items with screw together handles, they can loosen over time and with use. That is also the case here. It's nice that you can add or remove handle pieces to make it shorter or taller, but that also corresponds with the pieces loosening. I'm also a bit concerned about the plastic joints that attach the handle pieces together. With too much pressure I'm sure they would snap. No issues so far though, so I'm still giving it 4 stars overall. ... show more

I have a leaf rake from this same company that I got a couple of years ago and really like, so I was delighted to see this new heavy-duty rake from them. Just like the leaf rake, the handle comes in several pieces and screws together. This is a great feature in case you ever need a shorter rake. It's also great when you have to take a rake with you somewhere as it's much easier to carry taken apart. The handle is very strong even with the joints. And the head of the rake is strong too. This bow rake from Coopvivi is a decent option for anyone needing a bow rake for occasional home use. You will need to assemble the handle, which is easy to screw into place, along with the bow rake head. The Bow Rake head is not forged, but stamped steel with welded braces. Because of this, the teeth are kind of bulky, but still useful. This is not for heavy duty long term use. But it is fine for the average homeowner. Overall, this is an OK product. Pricing is a little high compared to what you could purchase with a solid wood handle at a big box hardware store, but the convenience of ordering and having it arrive at your home does have its value. ... show more

This is a fairly heavy-duty metal rake with a strong and long handle that I really like being that I'm a tall guy. And, for shorter people who prefer a shorter handle, one (or even 2) of the handle sections can easily be removed. This rake is constructed with a steel head, but aluminum handle. The rake head is big and strong, the handle material thin and not so strong. The screw joints are fine if one is only pushing the rake back and forth, but if any pressure is applied, they start to wobble or unscrew. I do appreciate the fact that I could make the handle shorter to be comfortable for my 5' 1" size and there is a hole at the top of the handle so you can hang the rake, but I wish screws and nuts were included to secure the handle joints, as well as the rake head. ... show more

For the money, this is a good rake. The handle is in sections that can either be added or removed so it can be shortened or lengthened to your desire. The rake head attaches with bolts and nuts which brings up one negative. The nuts are plain non locking nuts which means that during heavy use the head will start to come loose due to the nut backing off. The bolt either needs to be longer to accommodate a lock washer or self locking nuts should be used. So far it is a decent rake for medium to light duty use. ... show more
