First off - great kettle. We love it. But it broke and we are still not sure how. Best bet is a piece for loose inside which shorted the circuit. Maybe. These things do happen and that is why everything comes up with a warranty. As we purchased it within last 8 months we contacted the seller. And this is what this review is all about. Seller customer support. In one word? Superb!!! They sprang into action, asked a few pointed questions, aske us to verify our shipping address and - voila - replacement kettle is ‘resting’ in our kitchen. With so many sellers on Amazon these days, you never know what kind you’ll get. Lemme tell ya - these guys are trustworthy and responsible. I will shop with them in the future for sure.

Kettle will heat 20 oz of water at room temp in about 3 mins. The strainer on the lid is made of plastic - needs to be changed. To avoid hot water passing over the plastic, you have to raise the lid one click. Two clicks in a 90% angle for easy cleaning Make the entire bottom of the lid and strainer stainless steel so that no water passes over any plastic and this would be a good kettle at this price point. Another design annoyance is that the lid does not flip open via a thumb press. You have to disengage the locking mechanism on the lid. How hard would it be to put a lid lever on the top of the handle and move the "on - off" switch lower down or to the base? Also, the kettle lacks a off function when boiling has been reached., so be careful

We use an electric kettle every day. The one we had before had a terrible spout that got water everywhere when you tried to gently pour it. This one pours like a dream. It’s almost impossible to spill any. I love the blue LED lights that come on when it’s heating water and I love that you can lift it off the base easily. The previous kettle had to be slammed down on the receiver several times to get it to connect. I also love that the water reservoir portion is clear glass so you can see how much water you have at all times. Also, the bottom of the kettle is a hard plastic that does not heat up, so you can set it on the counter without burning it. It heats the 1.7 L of water very quickly too. All in all, this is one of my best purchases this year.
