The suction power of this vacuum is 5 stars, and that’s the most important aspect. The single deduction is due to minor issues and one annoyance. A small issue is that the amount of times I go to turn on the vacuum and don’t actually press the power button down fully is annoying. Probably amusing to watch, but less amusing when you’re trying to turn it on. The first time I tried to turn it on I thought the vacuum was broken. Have to press the power button pretty hard. The second minor issue was at first a pretty huge disappointment that the most expensive vacuum I’ve ever owned came with two bags. And considering the highlight about being able to fill the first bag in two days (which is in fact true!), it basically comes with one bag as the first one is full almost immediately. LOVE that for the suction power, as it is actually cleaning my house unlike my stick vacuum that has been obviously failing horribly, but I’m still disappointed that they couldn’t include one of the 10-pack of bags they sell separately. They are pretty expensive for what is essentially a trash bag, and I can’t find any cheaper alternatives that have the same size cardboard connection piece. I vacuumed my entire house with the first bag, and I found myself actually using my weak stick vacuum knowing that I’m on my last bag and kind of want to save it for when I feel another deep clean is needed. It’s a pretty large vacuum and would be so much easier to manage in a larger open concept space with the space to easily store and access it. I’m stepping over it constantly while waiting to be able to order more bags, which is making me focus more on size over function. If you’re looking for power and suction, especially if you have pets and feel like you could build another one with the amount of hair they shed.. this is a no-brainer. Just be prepared to order bags quickly because fortunately AND unfortunately, these large bags fill up FAST. I’m pretty sure if one of these bags was in my old vacuum, it would take 6 months to fill up. The suction is incredible.

I needed a new vacuum for the second floor to replace a Kirby that was older than I am. This vacuum looked like it would do exactly what I needed. It came very well packaged with all attachments and accessories expected and is a nice blue color with black accents. Included in the box was good instruction booklet with text and full color photos that actually show this QX90 model. It seems to be well made and sturdy and it is quieter than a lot of other vacuums. It is a canister style so you do drag it around as you go but thankfully it's not too heavy. It also has a nice long cord that means you only need to plug it in once in most rooms instead of moving from outlet to outlet. The retractable cord operates rather quickly and it pulls the cord in all the way up to the plugin. The vacuum has a strong self propelled main vacuum head and all of the other attachments that we have used so far have done their individual jobs quite well. It has good suction power that picks up a lot of dirt etc. The vacuum bags are easy to change out but you do need to order their proprietary bags as far as I can tell. I am also a big fan of the fact that thy are HEPA bags. This vacuum is good quality, with a good design, and is a good value for the money when compared to big name brands. So far it seems like this is a good all around home vacuum cleaner that is simple to use but has enough options to take care of most jobs....

I've had the opportunity to upgrade my old, cheap canister vacuum with this product, which has been a welcome upgrade. pros: Strong suction with a great "main" attachment with powered roller great selection of secondary attachments. retractable cord hose swivels on both wand and vacuum unit telescoping wand cons: poor attachment storage certain attachments don't lock onto the wand (wide brush, pet hair tool) main attachment is a little finicky ( height adjustment, detatching, swivel lock mechanism) large footprint if stored "ready" (hose attachment connected to wand) questionable product lifecycle (concerns about bag availability) The unit has great suction and a double HEPA filter (bag + washable filter) which completely catches any random dust particulate. I've found this alone to be a huge step up from my canister vacuum, which is somewhat leaky. I do have some concerns about how long the HEPA bags will be available. They are relatively smaller than a canister vacuum and reusing a vacuum bag is unreasonable, bordering on impossible, so I am hoping this company will offer bags for a long time. Additionally, there is a "warning light" on the vacuum that turns red when the unit detects not enough air is passing through the unit. Ostensibly this is a "change the bag" light. Despite having 5 suction levels i've yet to find myself using anything but the strongest setting. The main roller attachment is *very* powerful. The head itself is powered separately from the unit with its own on/off switch built into the handle. Height adjustment on the roller is a bit finicky to set, but also very effective (i've literally never bothered on any vacuum before this) On the right height setting the roller will easily pull itself around due to the suction and roller power. Each of the extra vacuum attachments are very well made and relatively easy to change out. The biggest I found using modern canister vacuums is how annoying it is to detach the hose from the back of the unit and attach the tools all while being tethered to a bulky vacuum. With this vacuum you simply press a button to detatch the wand from the handle or the attachment from the wand and plug it on. The wide brush attachment is perfect for non carpeted flooring and has an extremely low profile which allows you to get under a lot of low furniture such as dressers. The pet hair tool is *very* effective at getting hair and dirt off soft materials and difficult to reach areas. The only downside to these magnificent attachments is that there's no good way to store them on the vacuum unit. There is an "attachment attachment" that clips onto either the back or the bottom of the vacuum unit, but if you snap it to the back you cant stand it upright and if you snap it to the bottom you can't lay it down. A pretty bad design pitfall. I simply store the attachments on a shelf by the unit and take them out when I vacuum. Ultimately this is a great vacuum and I've appreciated the opportunity to use and review it, but the vacuum market is extremely large, and at this product's price point there are a lot of available options.
