  • BAGLESS FILTRATION: The Prolux Central Vacuum does not use bags but has 3 levels of filtration. It has a bagless dirt chamber (clear view window to know when its full), a washable Micron Pre Filter and then a Washable Filter. If you are exhausting the air outside the user may remove the filter and improve suction even more.
  • UNIQUE FEATURES: Powder Coated Steel Construction. The Prolux Central Vacuum System also includes the garage vacuum port. As Central Vacuums normally are mounted in the garage this extra port allows you to install a extra hose (also sold by Prolux) just for vacuuming your cars, garage or shop. External Muffler for quiet operation. The user may also remove the external muffler if they wish to hook a hose up for blowing or inflating.

This is an excellent central vacuum. It was very easy to install as I was replacing my old central vac that quit working after 25 years. I also purchased the 35" hose and all the attachments. This is a high end product and am looking forward to many years of use!!

Fit like a glove, great suction and very quiet.

I was skeptical buying this online as I have never heard of this brand. I am replacing a 20 year old Eureka Boss. The piping matched up perfect to my old pipes.(16" center to center) I did not use the Hepa filter or muffler as I exhaust out the ceiling over to the roof overhang. Even before removing the Hepa filter this had great suction, now even more, my wife and I cannot believe how much more power this unit has and is so quiet to boot. The only thing I really had to do was install the new mounting bracket on the wall. Hint: attached unit to pipes and just trace the mounting bracket where it sat on the wall. All in all less than 30 minutes to install. Very happy! Only negative: They could have at least given one bag to try. Very low suction at all ports. Low suction at garage port on vacuum.

Very low suction at all ports. Longest pipe run is 25 feet and suction is bad. Low suction at garage port on vacuum. Dirt stays in hose and vacuum head and falls back out when picking up power head after vacuuming. I have to sweep it up or use my other vacuum to clean what I just vacuumed. Stair attachment does not spin due to not enough suction. Emailed seller a few weeks ago and received no response. Setup return for the item which came in 2 boxes with 2 labels and 2 tracking numbers. Return only provided 1 label with less weight than the 2 items originally shipped. Wow! What an upgrade!

Built a large home in 2017 and installed a $3500 cyclonic central vac. The motor was rated for our size home but was as loud as a jet engine and didn't work well. You needed ear plugs from down the street if the garage door was open. It was stupid. After a year of back and forth with the online seller, we only used it once in a while. After 5 years, the thing gave out. Bought this unit and installed it quickly. Hung it with 3 quick screws and piping was almost a perfect match. This unit works great! So much more suction than the over priced cyclonic unit. We use 50' in-wall hoses and they pull in easily. Even our air powered carpet beaters zip to life. I can stand next to it and it's not hurting my ears. Now the neighbors can't document how often we clean. Thanks to ProLux, we have a great central vac system again! ... show more

Seems cheap but works

The prolux central vac system was missing several parts needed for installation. I’m not sure if it was a return that didn’t include all the parts but I had to go to the hardware store to finish installation. It seems like it was made with cheaper parts than our previous Honeywell. It is quieter than our previous unit. ... show more
