    • Small Box Brings Big Sound
I am not sure why one of your reviewer’s indicated this to be a user unfriendly product but that as not been my experience. I find the setup rather simple and the app provides you with the way to establish your sources such as Qobuz and Tidal. The unit is Roon Ready which is provides an abundance of music selections as I have had a lifetime subscription since its inception. I have several streamers including bluesound, sonos, NAD, Naim, ELAC and Arcam. The Stream Box S2 holds its own among the competition. While I am driving the unit with the Rega Brio-r integrated amplifier it provides more than sufficient power to the Sony SS-HA1 bookshelf speakers. The sound is crisp and clean and detailed. Jazz Vocals and instrumentals are my forte and among my digital collection and the music of streaming services I find it a most enjoyable experience. While the size may make you stop and consider if this tiny box is worth the price I have found it to be a solid performer. ... show more

Probably the easiest setup of my 6 streamers. Pro-Ject uses a customized build of Volumio, without plugins. Very robust. I use a high quality power supply but little improvement was noticed over the stock SMPS.
