  • Great fit and finish and a bit overpriced however it did make a big sonic difference.
At the end of the day it’s a painted slab of wood with some feet.. but did it make a difference in my system? I’d say yes. To achieve that type of finish on my own I’d probably spend way more than $169. I will say I added some rubber pads under the spikes and that helped reduce sound pollution even more. I’ve been wrestling with why I like this product in the first place and If I’m 100% honest I think it’s mostly about the style, it just looks great. I could have achieved the same sound improvements with a piece of plywood and some rubber pads. I guess you’ll just have to ask yourself if a $169 stylish all be it functional slab of wood is worth it for you. It was for me. ... show more

  • Made no difference in my case
Sadly, this didn’t work for me. Gentle footfalls on my wood floor still causing needle to jump. I expected this to be much heavier than it is and believe that might be the problem. No discernible difference in sound noted, which I wasn’t really looking for - vibration absorption was. Does look good though and a definite plus there are no branded logos on this unlike others I considered. Oh well, at least I’ll get my money back. ... show more

  • Isolation is key
You can’t go wrong with this table. It looks cool and is very affordable for a well built pro-Ject. I can now jump around the room and the needle doesn’t skip!

  • Good idea but expensive
The base is a good idea and serves its purpose but costs a lot for what you get. It fits the turntable well and the color matches. It looks good on my stand.

  • Very heavy, adjustable feet. Works very well.
The Pro-Ject Ground It E Turntable Base is exactly what I was looking for to go with my Fluance RT85 turntable. It isolates-the turntable from an uneven or unsteady base. Works very well.

  • It works!
This Pro-ject Ground-it Turntable Base works as advertised! It looks great, has adjustable feet and fits nicely under my rather large MoFi Ultradeck turntable. I am extremely happy with the sonic performance of my turntable and I strongly believe that this very affordable and functional Pro-ject Ground-it E Turntable Base is part of the reason it performs as well as it does! If you need a platform that will enhance the sonics of your analog set up and has adjustable feet, buy this one! ... show more

  • Attractive and functional
You probably should understand why you need this before you make a purchase. This base provides isolation from environmental vibration. This is important because a stylus on a turntable is tracking the grooves on your record which were originally cut using sound vibrations. This also means that any additional vibration in your environment can and will cause changes in your listening experience. It is a good idea to know what might cause vibrations in your environment to understand if this purchase will make a significant improvement to your listening experience. Typically if you are using large speakers with heavy bass or even bookshelf speakers right next to the turntable, then you will find this base well suited to improving the record's sound. Even someone walking on flooring near your turntable can effect your experience. If you primarily use headphones and are typically seated while listening, then maybe this isn't worth the upgrade for you. I personally use headphones, have carpeted flooring, the turntable is on the ground level, and use satellite speakers for when not using headphones. I didn't personally perceive any improvement to the experience. I do like the look of this base. It has a nice glossy finish and generous space for your turntable. ... show more
