Easy to install. Works well for one person, not sure about two. I use a lot of water when I wash and condition my hair three times a week and the water stays hot for at least half an hour. Works well , of course all the piping was a completely different configuration from the old one so it was not quite plug and play, ( obviously not the products fault) very satisfied so far with the energy cost and ability to heat water

    • Works but beware of the supply nipples

Appears to heat the water well. Held heat over night when I unplugged it. Biggest issue was installing it. The one nipple wouldn't not allow any connectors to seal up tight on it. After trying teflon tape, pipe dope, and swapping out supply lines I ended up pulling the nipple back out and ran a 3/4 inch male adaptor with a pex connector end into the tank and that corrected the leak. Only one nipple gave me issues but I might swap the other nipple this same way to avoid any issues down the road. I think it might have something to do with the blue plastic bushing inside the end of the pipe. ... show more

I used this in a shed in my backyard for an outdoor shower. I made the cold water inlet come from my outdoor hose and had the hot water outlet go to the outdoor shower. I turned the thermostat to just about 125 degrees and this thing works EXCELLENT!!

Had to run a separate circuit, which I expected to do. Water heated quick enough and water got really hot as advertised. I turned the thermostat down to 120 and it adjusted down to a more acceptable level. It was installed in our off the grid cabin and electricity comes from our 11Kw generator. Seems like a very good product ... show more

So I bought my unit in December and now I went to use it and it’s not working doesn’t heat up the water at all so they needed the serial number before they did anything I had the first Customer Service schedule an appointment to fix it only to find out that she put it in for the wrong item so that was a waste and then I called. I gave them the serial number and they tell me that it’s just basically a switch just a disposable hot water heater so they’re going to honor the warranty, which is giving me a new unit, but I have to pay for the installation again. I am not a happy camper. This really sucks. I don’t have money to keep paying plumbers to come and install this. This thing lasted four months. ... show more

I made the decision to purchase this hot water heater based on the price of this unit versus the replacement cost for a marine water heater in my yacht. At approximately one fourth of the cost, this is a great value. I should add that as shipped, the unit does not heat the water to anything more than just barely hot. I am guessing that somehow the lawyers were involved in setting the temperature of this unit after a couple of days of this low temperature setting I decided to take matters into my own hands, open the cover and increase the temperature ever so slightly. I can tell you that this unit heats the water beautifully now and life is good. Don’t judge me by the install photo as I am not a plumber. But everything works beautifully and at 1/4 of the cost, I can replace this unit as needed at a fraction of the expense of purchasing a marine unit I would definitely purchase it again for a yacht, a cabin, a shop, or whatever you have in mind.
