  • Nice pot - I was new to the Indian gravity/weight valve system
Size: 1.5 Liter
I am used to the European (Italian & German) pressure cookers (spring loaded valves). But those are so expensive and they don't come in this very small size. I wanted an individual meal size one and got this one. Took me 3 or 4 times to get the weight valve thing figured out. It's quite nifty, though I still find the spring loaded ones are more idiot safe and somewhat easier to use - but it comes at a price. This works good 4 me and I really like the small size - awesome. Might even get one of those coconut rice steaming thingees one can plug onto the valve, we'll have to see. In any case, this is a good pot. The build quality is good, though the Italian and German pots are a notch above - though it is a notch that doesn't really matter, this is really more than good enough already. ... show more

  • helps control spillage
Size: 4.4 L Junior Handi
This has made my life better a 100 times as it controls spillage when you cook liquids unlike other prestige brands that dont have deep lid. So this really proves the svachh thing in its name. Great design by prestige specially good when you cook lentils. My gas stove has been very clean since the time I've started using it. Would strongly recommend. Also, its dishwasher safe as its stainless steel and stainless steel is good for health as well unlike aluminium. ... show more

  • The sizing is incorrect or does not match older cookers
Size: 6.5 Liter
We have an aluminum prestige cooker from india 5L. I purchased the 5L stainless steel and realized that the mouth is too narrow to for existing cooker add ones like idly plate etc. also 5l did not look like 5l. Anyway. We returned and ordered the 6.5l. 6.5 l fits existing add ons but it's quite big. But quality is good. Good stainless steel. Don't know how it will work. Will update review after a few months ... show more

  • Perfect for Small Quantities
Size: 1.5 Liter
I bought this cooker so I wouldn't have to use my big pressure cooker for small quantities of beans. I can put one cup of beans in this one, easily. I needed to use this cooker three or four times before learning how it performs, but now I can cook a cup of beans perfectly without spitting and spilling water out of the top. Clean up is easy, too, much easier than wrestling with my 4 qt cooker. ... show more

  • Closing the lid is a struggle
Size: 6.5 Liter
The kids for my earlier cookers used to slide smooth this life is a pain and you have to struggle closing the lid. Literally push is down ( use your body weight) and then push it to left for closure Thus is quite a bit of exercise. Closing the lid is a pain

  • Works on induction stovetop
Size: 1.5 Liter
Very shiny good-looking stainless steel. Works on induction stovetop. I bought the small 1.5 liter one. Principally for quick energy-efficient rice cooking. Just set induction timer to bring to pressure, turn off and let pressure subside while rice cooks, about 10 minutes total. The spare glass lid is handy, but wish they'd use a solid handle that won't let water/food get into the cavity under the handle. The glass lid is a "bonus", so I don't detract for that. Still wish that manufacturers would get rid of those cavities under handles of various types. ... show more

  • This is the perfect size
Size: 1.5 Liter
I cook. I've had many pressure cookers over the years including an Instant Pot which is very good. Needed something smaller and quicker to use, easy to store. With todays food prices we all are feeling it and are still wanting to east great tasting food but not buy the more expensive cuts of beef and pork. I often buy small quantities of meat enough for one meal for the two of us or just for myself and needed a way to tenderize and infuse flavor. This small unit absolutly fits the bill. It heats up quick and works perfectly. It comes with a glass top also which really coomes in handy. ... show more

  • Received defective product initially, replacement works fine
Size: 4 Liter
This is actually a really good cooker. But I received a faulty, and frankly dangerous, product initially. The safety valve was basically just a hole, the lead (or similar) filling I would expect to see in it was completely missing. We did not notice this and proceeded to try and cook lentils in it. When the pressure built up, suddenly all the steam came gushing out this safety valve. If I were standing anywhere close to it, or worse standing with face over it, the burns would be really bad. We requested a replacement, and the new one works just fine. But its really sad that they are shipping these dangerous products as is to customers. Please check yours carefully before using. ... show more
