Features

  • Advanced Safety Features with Auto Shutoff & Durable Materials: This immersion water heater ensures reliable operation and is designed with multiple safety protections, including automatic shutoff and dry burn prevention. The high-quality stainless steel heating rods and reinforced 14-gauge power cord resist overheating, corrosion, and electrical risks. Each unit undergoes strict testing to meet high safety and durability standards, making it a dependable choice for household and farm use
  • Smart Temperature Control with Auto Heating and Shutoff: This immersion water heater allows users to set a preferred water temperature with an adjustable thermostat. By default, it heats up to 175F (79C), but you can adjust it to a lower setting, such as 120F. Once the water reaches the target temperature, it automatically shuts off and restarts heating when it drops 15F below, helping to maintain a steady and comfortable temperature
  • 1800W Efficient Heating for Bathtubs, Hot Tubs, and More: The 1800W heating element gradually warms water based on volume and initial temperature. Ideal for bathtubs, hot tubs, buckets, pools, farm tanks, and other heating needs, this unit is suitable for home, garage, basement, and farm applications. Whether used as a hot tub heater, bucket heater, or emergency water heater, it delivers consistent heating performance
  • Real-Time Temperature Display for Easy Monitoring: The built-in LED display shows the current water temperature for easy monitoring. Due to sensor placement, the displayed temperature may be approximately 5F higher than the actual water temperature. This helps users gauge water conditions for household, winter heating, and farm applications
  • Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Build for Long-Term Use: Constructed with high-grade stainless steel heating rods, this immersion heater is corrosion-resistant and durable. The reinforced power cord enhances electrical safety and ensures stable power delivery. This unit is designed for long-lasting performance and is suitable for buckets, tubs, livestock tanks, and portable pools

  • Good, but with some important caveats
Purchased this immersion heater so we could have warm baths while we waited for our water heater to be fixed. Overall, this is a good product and serves it's intended purpose, but with a few very important caveats. The unit appears well built, and it has an easy to use thermostat with a clear temperature readout. It works reasonably quickly, taking around 30-45 minutes to heat up a small size bath with somewhat cool water. A large bath would likely take an hour. The unit beeps once it's reached the target temperature and shuts off the heating element. It also automatically shuts off if you take it out of the water. However, there are a few very important safety considerations you must know. First, I would strongly recommend against being in the water at the same time as the unit. There's of course the very small risk of electric shock. You must plug this into a GFCI outlet (one that has test and reset buttons on it). Push the test button to see if it trips - if it doesn't the outlet needs to be replaced and won't protect you. Press reset to turn the power back on. A more likely hazard is the water being heated too high or unevenly and possibly burning you. I gently moved the unit back and forth by it's cord to stir the water a couple times while it worked. The unit can be set to heat to ~175°F, which is dangerously hot and could cause severe burns. I'd recommend trying it out at 95°F and see if that's warm enough before cranking it up any further. Finally, the power cord is relatively short. If you use an extension cord, it *MUST* be a very heavy duty model rated for 1600 watts or more. 12 gauge wire or better (wire gauge gets thicker with lower numbers, so a 14 or 16 gauge cord is smaller than 12). Do not use that wimpy extension cord you have for holiday lights, it will melt and possibly burn. I would recommend this product to people who have an understanding of the safety hazards associated with water heating. However, if you're not familiar, I would not recommend using this for a bathtub. ... show more

  • Portable water heater that works as advertised
This water heater works well. I heated up a 5 gallon bucket of water, started at 68f (verified with an IR thermometer) and heated the water to 110f in about 6 minutes and 45 seconds. It is a plug and use heater. The control is digital and touch sensitive and easy to operate. Since I do not have my large inflatable pool up now, I only tested using the bucket but it worked very fast and easily heated the water. I am going to use this when winter rolls around. I am sure it’s going to work the same but time may be slightly longer to heat the colder water. Overall, I am happy with my testing results. ... show more

  • The Brewer's Secret Weapon: Perfect for Mash Temps! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
As an avid homebrewer, achieving and maintaining precise mash temperatures is critical for consistent and delicious beer. I've tried various methods, but this Portable Water Heater for Bathtub and Bucket has become my absolute favorite for heating strike water and maintaining mash temps – it's a total game-changer! The 1800W efficient heating is incredibly fast. For a 5-gallon batch, it brings my water up to strike temperature in a fraction of the time compared to my old stove-top method. This significantly speeds up brew day, which is always a win. I primarily use it in a large insulated cooler, and it handles the volume with ease. The smart temperature control with auto heating and shutoff is where this unit truly shines for brewing. I can set it precisely to my desired strike temperature (usually around 160-170°F for my mashes), and it will heat the water and then automatically maintain that temperature. The unit shutting off and restarting when the temperature drops 15°F is fantastic for keeping my mash stable during longer rests, ensuring optimal enzyme activity. While it defaults to 175°F, it's easy to adjust it down, which is perfect for most ale mashes. The real-time temperature display is incredibly helpful. While the note about the 5°F discrepancy is good to know, it's consistent, so I can easily calibrate my target. It allows me to monitor the water temperature without constantly dipping in a thermometer, freeing me up for other brew day tasks. Finally, the heavy-duty stainless steel build and advanced safety features give me complete confidence. Brewing involves a lot of water and electricity, so knowing it has auto shutoff, dry burn protection, and a robust 14-gauge cord is paramount. It feels incredibly durable and built to last through many brew days. If you're a homebrewer looking for an efficient, precise, and safe way to heat and maintain your mash water temperatures, look no further. This portable water heater is an absolute must-have! ... show more

  • Melting?
I used this item for quite some time and was initially satisfied with its performance. However, over time I noticed that the area around the prongs had started to melt. Eventually, this led to the unit shorting out and becoming completely unusable. This poses a serious safety concern and is unacceptable for any electrical device. I can’t recommend this product and strongly advise others to exercise caution.. ... show more
