Recently had a power outage - was out 80+ hours. The first day hearing might be out for days (a first for us), - did a search for how to heat hot water in car. This popped up - $32 - I thought ugg - but purchased and received the next day. $32 - worth every last dime! To be able to go to car and heat up and then ability to make hot tea/coffee was beyond wonderful, for body and mind. Also, while waiting for it to heat up - we able to warm up, as well as bringing cat with to warm up too. Heat up time - pretty much as described - 20 minutes - possibly a bit more - if so, was still under 25 minutes. Used it, hmm between 15-20 times. For those purchasing for actual travel purposes - can't imagine you would be disappointed. As an aside, this my first review, even though have purchased many items from Amazon over the years - and many worth a great review - but didn't bother. This item however, truly wanted to get the word out, especially to those who regularly experience outages during cold fall/winter and misery that comes with.

This well-made product will boil water that is approx 70 degrees to 212 degrees in about 20 minutes. It's not speedy, but does the trick for mixing hot beverages in the cup, or using the boiling water for ramen and other quick meals requiring boiling water. Would recommend!

Currently car dwelling by choice. This little 12V kettle is awesome. As a coffee nut buying 3-4 coffees per day is a huge expense at $7-$12 per day. Can't afford a Bluetti power bank yet so hot water is challenging. I use it to boil water for french press coffee. It takes around 20-15 min to reach 212 degrees, makes enough for a med sized coffee, easy clean. Have made around 40 cups so far with no issue. Some have mentioned the cord gets hot, but that's not accurate. My power cord is lukewarm at best. Non issue on a newer car at least. Worth every penny.

My husband works in construction so we were trying to find something convenient so he could take a hot meal and this works great. He plugs it into the car and by lunch time his food is warm (the food can get hot if over five hours we found out) He will unplug it on his break and at lunch time it's perfect for him. Don't over fill it it though.
