Description

The Pool Mate Heavy-Duty Blue Winter Pool Cover will protect your pool from winter elements. This is a solid winter pool cover that will not allow water to pass through its material. The Pool Mate Heavy-Duty Blue Winter Pool Covers is constructed of heavy-duty polyethylene. All seams are heat sealed for better performance. The blue topside of this pool cover is coated to prevent UV damage. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. For extra securing, cover clips and cover wrap (both sold separately) are suggested for pool closing. No other method of installation is recommended. Includes a ten year warranty.

So far, this cover went on evenly, and tge pool water that got on top, beaded up, unlike the other covers. It does seem slightly thicker and a bit more durable. Winter hasn't hit yet, so time will tell if this is our new favorite cover. We have had the pool for over a decade and find8ng a winter cover that lasts more than 2 years is our mission. The price was equal to what our pool store has sold us in the past, but the quality has been disappointing and we spend too much every other year replacing the covers and the opening hasn't been great either in the past 9 years. We are hoping this cover can be our new favorite. So far, I like what I see. It fit perfectly, and I like the color, although color is no importance to me. ... show more

This is one of the toughest, and well-made covers we've had. We've had tree limbs plop on it, and fierce winds & rain attack it. It withstands all elements. The putty-color, is much more aesthetically appealing in the winter months (when all surrounding vegetation is brown), than a black cover.

The actual tarp cover isn’t bad for the price. I purchased mine October 2022 and was so using it (with a couple minor taped holes thanks to the dogs grabbing it while I had it out drying) up until today, so nearly 2 years. We had a crazy storm suddenly Come in and because I let someone else put the cover on, it came off. I don’t use the cable because quite honestly it stinks. I bought extra large plastic clips and use them every other post on our 21 foot bestway Steel pool. As long as the cover is taut and the clips are close enough, it rarely comes off. With the cable it came off frequently. After today’s storm, it ripped at a seam so will be purchasing another. It isn’t 100% waterproof but it’s close enough and I don’t mind because I use a small pump to remove water from the top of it after heavy rains. I also keep the inlet open to allow drainage if the water gets to that level in winter. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the cable quality and usability aren’t great. ... show more

I was going to rate this as a 2, but then I went and took pictures and got angry all over again so I had to give it a 1. Where to start? I have a 30' round pool. However this thing is so big it will touch the ground all around the pool. It is massive (way bigger than a 30' round pool so I am sure it must have been sent by mistake) but very thin and cheaply made. I bought it in September and just put it on, so I am past the return date. I have the wire cinched as tight as I can get it, but the wind still gets under all that extra over hang and pushes the cover up. I can not imagine this thing will last throughout the winter without getting blown off. I snapped 30 of those plastic pieces around the edge to try and keep it on, but the wind is just pushing the cover up and they are falling off. In addition, the cover is so cheap and thin that when I placed many of those cover clips they tore small holes into the cover which will eventually develop into larger rips. Please save your money on this one and spend a little more to get a better quality cover that will last. This one is not worth the money! ... show more

Not a bad cover, there are usually small small rips in it by the end of winter beginning of spring. I usually have to get a new one every year. the size is perfect for my 24ft pool. i do put a pump on my cover to drain any rain water off of it.

The media could not be loaded. All I can say is I am tickled to pink with this pool cover. In 20yrs Of having this pool and many pool covers, this is by far my favorite one. It's not as flimsy as ones, I've paid way more far. The gourmets are placed good. Every time I bought a 21 around pool cover, it would go over the railing maybe 8 inches for the overhang. This is a 21', and gives you 4ft more. You can see in the pictures how it hangs over the pool rail. This is going to help with wind not getting under and blowing it off. I wish I was a personal shopper for this so I could get another one just for this honest review. I attached a video trying to show you that I literally put this pool cover on by myself. By laying the pool, cover on the ground with the black side facing up. Sticking my hand underneath the cover and clamping it to the edge of the pool. Clamping halfway around too where I could pull the cover over the water with the black facing down as it should and the blue on top. Then after the cover is on drain below the skimmer. ... show more
