  • Worth buying !!!
Delivery on time! Worked very well! I will upload a video the next day. No , written instructions but easy enough. Just watched others who completed reviews with videos. Worth it! I bought an electric one and that was junk and more $. This did the job !

  • Works great
Once I figured out how this works I'm very impressed with this item. I have a bucket off water next to the pool to suck water in the hose. After about 7 squishy I put my thumb on the opening of the red container and then take off the attachment and the water flows out.

  • More than useless
To start with the hand pump does not work whatsoever. I have used and pumps like this before however this one is so cheap that it doesn't work. I figured I would still use the drain part by using it like we used to back in the day... Yep that's right suck on the hose and blow out some water and let it flow. This works however you run the risk of swallowing some of the contents. After about a month I decided to reposition it in the middle of the pool by giving it a gentle toss. It landed on its side and cut a 4" hole in a the brand new pool cover. So now I have a torn pool cover in January. Please do yourself a favor and purchase something else. This thing is a disaster. ... show more

  • Silent and works! No clogs
We are new pool owners and purchased a home with a winterized covered pool and we were not good about removing rain or snow for about 3 minths. This thing drained about 18" of water in a 25' round pool in about 48 hours. No power, no clogs, silent! My only complaint was there were zero instructions on how to use the included siphon pump, and getting it on to the tube once I figured it out was really difficult. Might buy another one to speed water removal next season but hopefully won't let it get that bad next year. ... show more

  • Thoughtfully designed product. Good value for the price.
An outstanding product and thoughtful design. We live in New England and this year's leaf fall was huge...many leaves on top of the pool cover, wetted by rainwater. So meny in fact that they would rapidly clog my electric submersible pump...take apart, clean, reaasemble, repeat 5-6x. I pumped off the water on the pool cover in 2hrs, no clogs. Unit comes with drain, hose and priming pump. ... show more

  • Get this!
I have to say this thing is amazing. I was skeptical when my husband purchased it but it has exceeded my expectations. After we closed the pool for the winter, we had a couple of hard rains. Drained the top of the cover and forgot about it throughout winter. Fearing it froze and cracked during the freeze we took a chance and "started it" the other day. It was FINE! And we had about 2" of rain the day before yesterday and the pool cover is basically dry. Draining the top of the pool cover is my husband's biggest gripe about opening the pool in June. He won't have this problem this year at ALL! Which saves me from having to listen to him b*tch about it. A win for BOTH of us. ... show more

  • The idea is great...however
I almost returned this item. It worked the first time I used it, however it stopped the second time right in the middle of syphoning. I didn't observe any debris or leaves around it, so I presumed there must be some debris inside the drainer itself. So I remove the 4 screws in the bottom of the drainer to see if I needed to remove some debris. There was no debris, however the drainer had sand throughout. So I'm wondering where the sand come from? Then while I was looking at the drainer closely, sand began pouring out of this small hole in the side of the drainer. I then realized this sand coming out was to weight down the drainer, so it doesn't float. Unfortunately, the plug had fallen out of the hole to keep the sand contained. So this sand was plugging up the the small holes in the drainer, and not allowing water to go through the line to the syphon. Now don't laugh too hard, but this is what I did to get this thing working again. I had some Flex Tape from the Flex Seal company and I carefully taped a 2-1/2 pound small round flat weight, to the bottom of the drainer. I also shortened the hose from the syphon to the drainer by 3 feet, because the hose end connected to the syphon kept popping off when I would squeeze the syphon bubble. So I eventually ended up getting the flow started by doing it the old fashioned way, before syphons were invented. I grab the end of the hose and like a straw, I sucked on the end of the hose for a couple of seconds and the water flow began. A couple of hours later it was still flowing. As I said in my title, it works great if there is no issues that I have spoke of. I'm going to hang on to it. ... show more

  • There is a simple YouTube video made by a customer helps alot
My family put my pool cover on too loose and the liner fills with so much water it moved like a river. I thought no way this little gadget will be able to get that water out of my pool. I’m so happy it does not come out fast and flood my yard. It’s has a fast enough continuous stream of water. No way! I’m pleasantly surprised! I did not pay much for it at all! It looks really sturdy and the size is not too big and heavy to sit on the pool liner! ... show more
