The Pit Boss Sportmans Wood Pellet and Gas Combo delivers a powerful grilling experience for a true outdoorsman. Achieve real-wood flavor with the convenience of gas. The Sportsman Series Combo Grill is perfect for searing fish, grilling game, smoking jerky and more. It features 8 different cooking methods - all on one machine. Cooking temps range as low as 180°F to as hot and fast as 500°F. The dial-in digital control board works hand-in-hand with Pit Boss meat probes so you can monitor meat doneness, adjust cooking temperatures, and track fuel without ever having to open the lid. Premium features of the Sportsman Wood Pellet and Gas Combo include a more than 1,200 sq.in. cooking space, an innovative slide plate flame broiler with an easy- access handle on the pellet side, three independent burners on the gas side, built-in spice rack, adjustable front shelf, 2-in-1 stainless steel side shelf and removable tray, two in-line wheels, two locking caster wheels, solid bottom shelf.

My husband is 72 and has been bbq-ing since his teens. He bbqs all year round. We currently have 3 other bbqs and a smoker on our patio. One is a huge stainless steel, another is a large black heavy duty that cooks with wood or briquets, a Traeger bbq and the smoker's from QVC. Initially the grill will heat us and then continues to decrease in temperature to around 100°. We went through all of the trouble shooting suggestions from the manual and nothing will correct the problem. I've tried calling Pit Boss several times and no one ever answers. This girll is awesome. We wanted something that could use propane but also smoke. This gives us both options in one sleek grill. The assembly was fairly easy - two people are needed just to hold together during the process. All the pieces are really nice and heavy duty and everything went together easily. This is a very solid grill - even the wheels are really nice. We have been smoking (fish, chicken, lamb) and everything has been delicious. The standard propane side is also working well. This thing is awesome! You get the best of both worlds with the pellet smoker and gas grill side by side! It is so easy to smoke meats with the pellet smoker using the included temperature probes. Would definitely recommend this combo grill!

the handles to open the grill are awkward,temp on gas side have been difficult to adjust. After 2 months of use I must say that I am very satisfied. There has been a learning curve after having a Weber natural gas grill,but the multi racks inside the grill offer alot of options.
