The DGYGQ has been an absolute workhorse and far exceeded my expectations for durability and pop. Power and Pop If you like to hit hard, this paddle delivers. It has a great balance of firmness and responsiveness, which translates directly into pace. My third shot drops were fast and aggressive, and my overhead smashes felt significantly more powerful than with my previous paddle. The carbon fiber surface isn't just for control; it seems to give a consistent energy return, meaning the power feels reliable across the entire face, not just in a tiny sweet spot. Built Like a Tank This is where the DGYGQ paddle truly shines for me. The edge guard is robust and holds up beautifully when I accidentally scrape the court retrieving a low ball. I love this paddle, my friend and I tried it out the day it arrived, and we were blown away by the quality of it for the price. I found this on a limited deal for 40 dollars and bought it that night. We have recently been playing with the joola hyperion from 2024, and after a few games, realized that it is at the same level if not better than the joola paddle. My friend was able to put at least twice as much spin on the ball, and it is very poppy when you hit it, not requiring very much power to any shot and feeling great in the hand. Additionally, the extra little bit of circumference of the hand is especially nice as someone with quite large hands. Overall, this is an amazing paddle for the price, especially if you get it on a discount.
