I was getting pretty tired of my old paddle. It was heavy, made my wrist hurt, and I could never get a good spin on the ball. My buddy kept beating me and rubbing it in, so I figured it was time for an upgrade. I wanted something lighter that would not wear out my arm. So I gave this new paddle a shot, hoping it would help me step up my game. First thing I noticed, it feels way lighter than my last one. I could swing faster without feeling like I just did a workout. The grip is decent too, not too slippery even when my hand gets sweaty. The spin is actually better than I thought it would be. Still not turning me into a pro or anything, but I can finally keep up with the guys a little more. The sweet spot is pretty solid, though I do miss a few shots here and there when I hit near the edge. It also makes kind of a loud pop sound when I hit the ball, which can be annoying after a while. Not a huge deal, but if you are playing at a quiet park, people will definitely hear it. Other than that, it feels pretty solid in the hand and does not wobble or anything weird. Overall, it is a good step up from my junky old paddle. Not perfect, but it is helped me play better and not feel sore after. If you are just looking for something simple that does the job, this one is worth a try. Just do not expect it to turn you into a champion overnight. I’ve been using this paddle for a little while now and I’m really happy with it. It’s lightweight but still feels sturdy, and the grip is comfortable even during longer games.
