So disappointed, this did not cover my gray hair at all. I read the reviews prior to ordering and thought it was going to be great, was completely let down. I don’t see anything amazing about the overall color either. Thought it was overpriced and boy was it ever. Also, was incredibly thick, barely enough to pu on my shoulder length hair, if you have hair beyond your shoulders you will have to buy 2 boxes. ... show more

    • It is gentle on the scalp but leaves hair very dry, make sure you use the #3 conditioner.

The color was not as advertised. Left hair very dry, make sure to use the conditioner. Instructions did not say how long to leave the conditioner on. I left it on for 5 minutes and used a de tangler after rinsing it out. Not sure how long the color will last, but from other reviews, it will probably last at least as long as other brands. The mixture is thick, which is good for protecting the eyes from drips, but when adding a little water to the crown in order to do the lather step, it was hard to keep it from dripping into the face. I bought this based on the great reviews about gray hair coverage. I like that it was supposedly a healthier alternative to the drugstore brands. I highly recommend this hair color if you don't want to be exposed to harmful chemicals and toxins and the color is perfect. I liked that it left my hair soft and shiny and the color is not yellow or brassy..looks natural.
