I bought this as a gift to my wife on Mother's Day along with extra rolls of thermal labels. The printer itself appears to be of reasonable quality but the software app (Print Master) is worse than terrible. Setting up an account via the app just doesn't work. Some of the app works on her iPhone 7 but doesn't work on mine. Access to other features and templates in the "Cloud" doesn't work on my phone either. In owning iPhones ever since they've come out, I've never seen an app that works on one and doesn't work on another (with the same settings). The app is full of misspellings (English). We would have tried it on an Android tablet BUT the app does not show up in the Google Play Store even though we find references to it in Google searches and on the Phomemo website. The manual is VERY uninformative. Tutorials are completely blank in the app. The scarce YouTube videos are almost all marketing and not much hands-on. Seems very odd that this printer is part of the Phomemo product line but requires use of the Print Master app instead of the software used for the other, less expensive but more highly rated Phomemo printers like the M02, etc. The other software appears to be much more robust and seems to have been through a better quality control process before heading out of the factory. We also cannot find any other app that recognizes the M200 which means the poor Print Master app is all you have to use. Since most all of the mini/portable printers use thermal paper, suggestions to use such printers & thermal paper for scrapbooking, or other long term print uses is completely inappropriate. Exposure of thermal paper to bright light causes it to basically fade away...so why consider spending hours making high quality scrapbooks only to have some of the contents fade away?? Scrapbooks are often made using "300-Year paper" so don't use thermal paper for anything that you want or expect to last a long time. It won't be around for you grandchildren to read or enjoy. In short, we can print a label but it is not as simple as some would suggest. The app is a deal breaker and is certainly a fugitive from proper quality control. A sad state when it is part of the overall Phomemo product line. Looks like this buy is headed back to Amazon.

Paper is expensive and it's hard to find out what might fit into the paper compartment. I assume they limit it so that we buy their brand for $$$.. i haven't used it much,, but it started printing off center. It's hard to do anything productive with it. Excel import doesn't work,, that's the one thing that seemed like it would be a cool printer for serious things. But it feels more like a toy because of the limitations of the app and drivers, they don't give the pc or phone much to work with. It works okay as a simple diy label printer. Even though it's black and white, it can print fake Grayslake images by making it a bit blurry because it uses dots. It seems to stop at the end of each sticker if you choose the right template. Continuous works, but I wish it was easy to buy 3 inch paper that fits inside the compartment so that I can print millions of random things for cheap to make it feel worth the buy.

Does the machine work? Yes. However, the design app stinks. The Amazon Product page claims 270+ borders. I see 17. Canโt figure out where to get the remaining 253. Same thing with templates. Some basic design features (e.g. mirror or flip an image) are not there. Have searched for software updates or places to download templates/borders/fonts, but canโt find anything.

I make a lot of essential oil blends and this is great for labeling the 2 oz. bottles with the name and recipes. I was disappointed that there was only a sample roll in the printer. But I ordered another roll and the smaller labels to use on the 10 ml roller bottles.

I was a little worried after reading how some people had issues with the app. but it's actually really easy to use. and here is a tip - if you want to get really fancy with your label layout, then create the image in a separate program and simply save it as a jpeg and import that. This is a great buy in my opinion. UPDATE: I've had this for several months now. I'm an artist and use it to make QR codes to stick to the back of my prints. But it's also great for taking to shows and changing prices on the fly. well worth getting for anyone who does art/craft shows.

I love my Phomemo Label maker. It was very easy to use. Nice and portable. You can take anywhere with you. Just throw it in your purse, backpack or a messenger bag. This is an EPIC product. And the best part about it, you never need ink. EPIC. If you want to send me something from this company, like labels, please feel free. Love this little printer. Charged up out of the box in about 15mins and stayed charged for months even with daily use. Connects easy to my phone. Makes professional looking labels. The set up for the original the template was a bit frustrating. Once that was made it was easy to access and store new ones based off the original. The printing does get light if it's really cold out. I keep mine in the car and does need to be warmed up a bit if under 30 degrees. Battery has held it's charge tho. Overall great value for the money.
