I recently bought the PetPivot open-top automatic litter box, and honestly, I wish I had gotten it much earlier. At first, I was hesitant. I had heard concerns about automatic litter boxes being unsafe, especially the fear that they might start cleaning while a cat is still inside. But after researching the features, I felt reassured—and now, after using it for a week, I’m really happy with my decision. One thing I love is the design. It’s small, compact, and very cute—not bulky like many of the ones I’ve seen at pet stores. It fits perfectly in my space. I have two cats—one older (12 years) and one younger. My older cat is very particular about cleanliness and would sometimes go in the closet if the litter box wasn’t clean enough. That was a constant struggle because I used to clean the litter very frequently (sometimes every other day). Since getting this automatic litter box, things have completely changed. It doesn’t start cleaning right away—it waits a few minutes so clumps can properly form, then cleans slowly and safely. This feature really gave me peace of mind. There’s no risk of the cat getting caught inside. Now, instead of constantly scooping, my husband just empties the waste compartment. It’s so much easier and cleaner. And the best part? No smell at all. It’s actually funny to watch my cat sit there and observe the box cleaning itself—she seems fascinated and perfectly comfortable using it. Both my cats are happy, and that makes me happy too. Important tip: Make sure to use the type of litter recommended by the manufacturer. I used Arm & Hammer clumping litter, and it worked perfectly—no odor and excellent clumping every time. Highly recommend this litter box to anyone with cats, especially if you’re tired of constant cleaning!

We are liking it so far, but sometimes it doesn't fully coat the waste in litter so the tray stinks after just one use. We lined the bag with baking soda and it helped. We change the bag each morning and it is going great with 2 cats.

This automatic litter box has honestly made life a lot easier. The open-top design is great because it feels more spacious and less intimidating for cats compared to some of the fully enclosed automatic boxes. My cat adjusted to it surprisingly quickly. The self-cleaning function works well and keeps the litter much cleaner throughout the day without needing constant scooping. It’s nice not having odors build up nearly as fast, and the waste compartment is easy to empty when needed.

I just putting this box together, and before I could even step back, my kitty hopped right inside like it was always hers No hesitation and she totally approve. The design is open and spacious, the little stair ramp is perfect for her, and the self cleaning thingy is my lifesaver

So far so good. I bought another brand and returned it. This one seems great. I bought the Gray Pet Pivot litter box and it's VERY EASY to assemble. It's an open top design so know that, however, the functionality and quality seem great so far. I will update as it works.
